So.. I just found a great rental car price for $15 a day. I was planning on doing ME and using bus system exclusively but I've never done this before. I've always had a car at WDW which I like because I can come and go when I'm ready and not wait on the buses. Hmmmmm... such a decision...

Pros: Ease of getting around on my schedule
Won't have to leave WDW so early on return day
WIll be able to stop at store to snacks, water, etc...

Cons: Have to deal with rental check-in which can take time
Have to get gas on the way back


I don't have any problem driving and getting myself around so that is not an issue...


Ack.. what should I do????

Thats a touch choice! $15.00 a day is a great deal...where did you find that? I would almost rent the car...just so I could stop and get water and snacks, plus have a bit longer before having to get to the airport.

6 days until we leave and I'm starting to have mini panic attacks!! I have never taken the girls on vaca by myself and I have all these what if's going through my mind. Hopefully once I get through security I can relax a little...I have to pack all of my middle dd's medical equipment and all the "emergency" supplies and I think I'm just getting a little overwhelmed!!!

I'm hoping the flight goes well and on time and we can make it for the Dis meet on the 8th!!!

Found the rate on Hotwire - ended up getting it - it is with Budget rental car. In the time I was deciding the rate actually went up to $17 a day but still a great deal so I took it.

Now I have to find a place to stop and get snacks/water....

I'm just going to tackle any woman on an EVC and ask if her name is Sheila. So if you get tackle-hugs ... and THEN asked if you're Sheila ... it's just me.

Be sure to look for us! I'm short, so you may miss me, but the short woman with the tall husband (and two kids nearly as tall as "mom") might stand out. Or you might think it's a dad taking his three kids on vacation.

I'll totally be sporting a conversation piece with a "hidden LGMH" on it... so praying DISers will stop me and say "hi"!!!

So the Monorail being down is going to suck. The times it is supposed to be down wont affect us too bad, but it was nice to have that option. Say if we wanted to go from MK to Epcot at 1pm. I guess we'll be using the busses. I just hope they have direct service. None of that transfer at the TTC stuff. With all of the closures and refurbs, I'm just waiting for them to anounce that all of MK will be closed from 3/4-3/10 for refurbishment.

On a side note ... I swear ... there's something telling me that we weren't meant to go on this trip. All the little things keep adding up ... and right now, we're under severe weather advisories until midnight. My dad called and he's holding his car hostage. I don't blame him (as I'd do the same thing to my kids). He's just worried about us being on the road with possible tornadoes rolling through. I tried to reassure him that we'd delay leaving if the weather was not driveable. So there's no telling what time we'll arrive tomorrow.

And seriously, anyone who sees me sporting a really awesome conversation piece with a hidden LGMH, please stop me! Flag me down (run me over), whatever. I'd love to say "hi" and snap a pic!

OK... I am scared too... This is also my first trip with just my girls and I - but quite honestly, there is no better place to go for a first trip alone than Disney - they have it all figured out for us, and we just enjoy ourselves.

DD and family will be there; 8:05 reservations. We couldn't get added to those reservations...late decision as to if we were making the trip or not. She and hubby will have 9 & 5 year old granddaughters in tow.

Hey all! I'm reporting live from CBR. Weathers great, food is wonderful. Crowds suck a little but now the weekend is over we'll see what happens. We unfortunately had to get a new room. The AC was busted in our 1st room we couldn't breathe!!! *But it moved us from Barbados to Martinique I have lost hope of being proposed to Gabe packed in front of me and no ring made it into his suitcase. Oh well I guess :/ the monorail being down sucks!!! We have dinner at Cali Grill soon and I'll be wearing 4 inch heels. Walking from MK entrance to Contempo will hurt......

It snowed over night on travel day. The roads looked like powdered donuts it took us 45 mins to get to Logan instead of 20! Luckily it was rain in Boston so our flight left ontime. It was a turbulent flight. Took lots of meditation to stay sane.*

Our flight gets in at 7:15 so I'm hoping to be at the resort by 9ish and maybe even try to head over to MK or DHS since they are both open until 1pm. We will probalby be tired but I love being in the parks at night so we'll see. If not maybe we will go over and have a late dinner and ice cream at beaches and cream. Or maybe just go to bed. What time do you guys get in?

Going March 12-19th! Me, Daughter (15), Son (12)- haven't been since 2006 so kids are psyched- been to Disneyland half a dozen times but this is only thier 2nd trip to WDW.

Daughter can't wait to see Captain EO (MJ fan), and son is FINALLY tall enough for Rockin Roller coaster so it will be our first time on THAT!

We all love the water parks...hope the Florida weather is right for it this time of year (first time in Orlando in spring--I always went in the summer)

Double funny, we arrive Monday March 12th as well! Staying at POP...Stayed there in 2006 and kids loved it so much, I didn't have the nerve to book a different resort, lol!

We're getting there late as well, plane lands in MCO at 7pm (Thank God for Magical Express). I didn't get tickets for first and last day of our trip (March 12-19) because I figured we get there so late and leave so early (6:15am ugh!) that we wouldn't have enough time in the parks on those days.

Last time, we just got to know our hotel on the first day, which was like a mini park in itself. But I like your Idea of going to Beaches and Cream...I only JUST learned that we could visit the other resorts and we saw a video of "The kitchen sink" on you tube...tempted to go to Beaches and cream just to see that!
