I am so excited...we're going to DW...first trip in 09 we went to DL, but first time to World...we'll be there March 23-30 and staying in the Port Orleans FQ hotels. MIL is paying for trip so she's taking care of details I'm just trying to plan out things (way a Type A personality and hard for me to let MIL do it all). We have made reservations for Princess breakfast on 27th and then Rainforest Cafe for dinner on 28th...we may switch that so we can do AK park on the 29th when they have extended the hours...our reservation is for 4:45pm so no time after dinner to see it all...can you do AK park from 9 to 4 and get to most stuff?

It will be my birthday while we're there and our anniversary...don't really know where to go for anniversary dinner without kids, might be nice to use our dining plan so no more out of pocket $ for us, but since MIL is paying for trip maybe we should be nice and save dining for the family times. We'll see I guess.

We have never spent an entire day at AK, normally we leave after lunch, there is much we haven't done, maybe someone can jump in and give their thoughts on how much time is needed at AK.

People seem to really like the California Grill located in the Contemporary Resort and then you can watch Wishes from the balcony, I have never done it myself but seems like a nice place for an anniversary dinner. It is 2credits pp on the DP.

I have to change one of our ADR's, DH and I decided to skip AK this trip so I cancelled our ADR at Tusker House and added Akershus in Epcot.

Does anyone know when Splash Mtn. will be closed for its refurb? I hear it's happening sometime next year, and I would hate for it to be in March too!

I know in the past Splash Mt. is normally closed for refubishishment during the winter months but I just checked the refurbishment schedule on touring plans and it is not listed for 2012. I am thinking because of the extensive refurb on BTMR they must not be doing Splash in 2012.

Not sure if it is something you can access if your not a member or not but worth trying, Go to Touring Plans>Home>Disney World> Parks> Refurb Schedule

You can also watch EasyWDW.com for updates to closures and Page one of this thread as I will be updateing as needed

Walt Disney World has announced some upcoming changes to current

Advanced Dining Reservation policy. Beginning October 26, 2011, most

character meal locations and all Signature Dining restaurants will

require a credit card guarantee at time of booking, and all will carry a

24 hour cancellation policy. The following restaurants will now require

the credit card guarantee:

We added a day to our trip and an ADR, can you change our check out date to 3/9 and add Ohana on 3/8 at 9:10am to the ADR's.

We have our first family trip booked from March 4th-10th with our two DDs ages 6 & 4. We are staying offsite as my DH gets a hotel employee rate that's too good to pass up. Maybe one day, we'll stay on site. My inlaws will be driving up from the Miami area to spend the week with us. They are very undecisive people so planning this trip has been difficult.

I've booked my ADRs as follows:

- March 5th lunch @ Le Cellier if only the four of us and @ Chefs de France if the six of us...I know it's frowned upon to have two ADRs at the same time but my inlaws haven't confirmed if they are joining us that day and I can't get an ADR for six at Le Cellier but will keep trying.

- March 6th dinner @ TREX. Our hotel is near DD so this is convinient and I'm sure my DDs will enjoy!

- March 7th breakfast @ CRT for the four of us. In-laws don't want to come (meaning they don't want to pay!)

- March 8th lunch @ Tusker House

- March 9th dinner @ Ohana. Will hopefully watch Wishes from the beach with the kids.

- March 10th dinner @ California Grill (just DH and myself). Our ADR should allow us to view Wishes from inside the restaurant.

I would stay offsite too if I had an employee dscounted rate, you can put that money to better use like eating at T-Rex which I am positive your lil ones will love.
