Unofficial Guide - "Sept. 22-25" Very crowded. Why?

Hi,
I'm a newbie here, but have been to WDW a number of times in the past 10 years. Usually go in September, when crowds are really low.

Browsed through the "Unofficial Guide...." at the bookstore today, and noticed it projected the crowds to be "8" for about a week starting Sept. 22nd. Every other day in September was a "2" - indicating low crowds...

Of course, our trip is scheduled from Sept. 20 - 25th. Any idea why there'd be such large crowds after the 22nd? Is there a site I can check which conventions might be meeting there?

Hi. I went into panic mode after buying the book and seeing 8's during our stay from 23-30 of sept. We also always go in Sept. due to low crowds. When I posted on here they said it was a misprint and to check the website. Can't remember what it is but I think you can get there from touringplans.com . See you there

It's a typo - sorry about that. We're predicting lower-than-average crowds for that time of year. Thanks for reading the book, and good luck with your trip!

I don't know how much of an impact it will have, but the Disney World Triathalon is taking place from Sept. 23-25.

Like I said, I don't know how this will alter the crowds.
