Unofficial Guide or MiniMickey?

Hi Everyone,

I managed to find the Unofficial Guide 2006 at my local chapters bookstore and loved all the information it has

My question is: Does the Mini Mickey 2006 guide have the touring plans in it at the back in a clip-out page?

I was unable to look at it as the bookstore did not have it in stock

I like the idea of having a smaller, easier to travel with book and I know that the UG has lots of info regarding staying offsite etc., which I wouldn't need to have, but I do like their touring plan info

Any opinions would be great, Thanks all

As far as I know the Mini Mickey is not out yet (though I do believe there is one scheduled for '06). I have the most recent one (4th edition which is '02 or '03) and it did not have clip out touring plans.

I bought UG for our most recent trip because I like the updated info. But I would have preferred Mini (as you said it has all the hotel and other info which I did not need).

If you can wait to purchase Mini's newest version, I would suggest doing so.
(Mini has tourning plans but not clip-out).

Thanks for the info, I saw that the Mini Mickey is available for online purchase from Chapters.ca and that it was published in September 2005.

It was the clip-out touring plans that I was really interested in, the UG looks like a great book, but also looks heavy for travelling

That was why I was interested in the smaller version

I will have to try and track down the latest Mini Mickey issue in my area and decide at that time if it has all the features from the larger book that I want

There is cut out guides in the back of the UG, just got my 2006 copy Friday night, and almost am done with all 700 plus pages,

B-T-W, I have just discovered that chapters has discounted the UG2006 to almost the same price as the Mini Mickey, now I may just go and buy it!!!

Wow, I am a big believer in Amazon.com and I checked them and they only show the '03 version. I also posted on DIS back in Aug/Sept and Len from UG said they had a new one coming out soon so I assumed that there was nothing in between.

If you really like the clip-out go with UG (you can never go wrong) - just pack lighter luggage - LOL - who needs more clothes when you are in WDW.
