does anyone know how the unlimited express pass is determined when staying at qualifying hotels onsite? I ask because in past trips we stayed for 2n but had purchased 3d park passes and had unlimited express feature all 3 days. so it seemed to be tied to the length of our park pass but triggered by staying at their qualifying resorts. Wondering if anyone has had tickets for more days than their length of stay and were able to use unlimited express at the parks beyond their hotel stay.

The Unlimited Express pass is tied to your onsite hotel stay and not your tickets. If you have a 4 day ticket and a one night hotel stay, you will only have Express on 2 days - check in and check out.

As previous posters have stated, the Unlimited Express benefit is tied to your hotel stay. It is in no way related to your park tickets. You get Unlimited Express from check-in day to check-out day. Even after you've checked out, you get the EP benefit until the park closes that day.

PPs are correct. It's not tied to your tickets, only your hotel stay. Unless you booked a package, the hotel wouldn't even know what kind of tickets you have or if you even have tickets at all. We always book room only and buy tickets separately. If you check into the hotel on Monday and check out on Wednesday, your express pass would be active Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday regardless of your tickets.

thanks...that's what I figured, I just wanted to confirm...that would have been way too easy of a loophole for Universal to let slide
