Unknown people on MDE!

I’m helping a friend plan her Disney trip and tomorrow is her fp booking day. I was walking her through the app and she discovered three complete strangers on her list! She called Disney and they can’t get the people off and don’t know if she’ll be able to book tomrrow. Good news is her whole party is on there so will she be able to just manually select them instead of select all when she goes to book? Any insight appreciated!

No idea how strangers' names are now on her account but yes she can select names manually to make ADRs or FPs.

Is your friend the only one with an MDE account? If not then only thing I can think of is another member of her party "friended" them? If she is then that's a bit weird hope she gets it sorted. Make sure those people she doesn't know don't have ability to change plans, only view option

I don't believe you can delete anyone off your friends list without calling Disney and having them do it

Go to "friends and family" in My Disney Experience. Click "update". You should at Least be able to restrict what they see under that setting. But like CAS239 said I think you have to have Disney delete the friends

You can always manually select which of your MDE friends you want to include in an FP. It does seem like you may be viewing the MDE friends of someone you are already connected to, in which case, it's not an issue. If they are just a friend of a friend, then they can't change your FPs. There is a setting you can select regarding whether or not you want your MDE friends to be able to view each other. Maybe you just need to turn that setting off.

Not if they have any past items assigned to them.

I once had tickets for a stranger’s family show up in my MDE. It was very strange, and Disney tech support similarly couldn’t get them off/didn’t know what to do. One day the tickets just disappeared. I hope the correct family got them!!

Don't know what that means. I includud BIL, SIL and their grand kids as F&F 2 years back so they could get PhotoPass. I downloaded the pics for them then removed them before our Nov 2017 trip. I don't think I gave them access to do anything, I handled their pics so maybe that's the diff.

I’ve had strangers pics on my MM too. It was weird, a whole family and they all looked miserable, not one of them were smiling. I hope no ones ever accidentally gotten one of my pics and was judging us,lol.

It just depends on how or why the people are in the account. If it's just someone added like that you can remove them. If it's someone that you have that has ever had past items (like tickets, FP) then you can't. Even it those items were 5 years ago.

Probably means .... my issue. Years ago I bought MNSSHP tickets for my folks. We went and tickets dead.

They now have their own MDE, own tickets and we are NOT linked F&F ...

But because they have old dead tickets attached to my account I can’t remove them. Disney IT, no rhyme or reason for it.

Thank you, everyone! After an hour on the phone with Disney last night she was able to get the strangers off her account. However this morning, she was up to do her fp and couldn’t get in and had to spend a half hour with Disney fixing it. She missed out on FoP which was disappointing but I told her to keep trying to modify Na’vi for it.

Last November the family that had their pix taken by our photopass photog in AK just before us, ended up on our memory maker as well. At least they all looked happy, but I had to delete them before ordering our archive disc. I hope they got their pix!
