Universal's extinct attractions

It was some sort of Dynamite Water Stunt Show...I remember because I have hyperacusis and had to protect my ears from the explosions!

And wasn't it determined on another thread here that the water ski show at IOA is also now extinct?

The ones I miss the most are Hitchcock and Ghostbusters, and I'd love to get to see Xena from the audience (the one and only time we did it, I got picked as a volunteer and am still in therapy from the experience...it's not pleasant wearing a giant fake bosom and performing a dance multiple times).

That's the one, it ended with the ship in the middle of the lagoon blowing up and sinking (sort of). Almost everyone in the park would line up at the fence ALL the way around the lagoon to see the show. (It was a good time to get on rides w/o long lines)

You also got to walk through the city streets of Kongfrontation during Halloween Horror Nights, it was one of their haunted houses.

Walking on the streets under the Kong ride through the haunted house was one of the best houses they ever did IMO.

And as for the Psycho House with the Motel, there was also the Hard Rock Cafe next to them that was shaped like a guitar. They closed that one when they built the one at CityWalk.

They had the foam machine on the streets that year!! It's worth mentioning that even though you never really see in the lower street windows on King Kong from the tram, they were all detailed.

You know it's still there don't you? It's over beside the Curious George area and looks like this:

I miss the Alfred Hitchcock thing, can't remember the name of it. When we were kids we went, and they chose my dad to dress up as Mother to recreate the shower scene. It was HILARIOUS! I also miss King Kong:sad1:

I can believe no one mentioned Nickoloden Studios by the front entrance. They used to film game shows and had a big slime machine out front that used to erupt every so often.

Ahhh yea Nickolodeon Studios. How could I not think of that, I think of it everytime I walk by Jimmy Neutron. It makes me sad. My couson volunteered to eat slime there, and they stuck him in a tub and said they were going to pour slime all over him but it came out in green confetti. We had crazy times volunteering for stuff there. My mom also volunteered to do one of the scenes at the earthquake thing (not good with ride names.) They don't have the particular scene anymore, but the escalator scene at the mall, she was one of the "shopping ladies." :rotfl:

I'm sad that is gone. Back in 2001, my son got picked to be on the Slime Time Live show. I recorded the show when it was on TV a few weeks later....guess that's my only memory now. :sad2:
