I've heard some say that is more intense than VC and others say not quite, but very close. I wonder if it depends on which side you ride because one is apparently more intense than the other (although I've also heard people flip flopping on which one).

There is apparently a lot of air time though so you should love it.
I've been watching POV videos of both sides as this coaster looks like it is right on my borderline of ok vs. not ok for me. Velocicoaster is the same for me as well, which I've been on once and would ride again but only on days that I'm feeling more adventurous.

On Velocicoaster, I absolutely loved the first half which I think much of Stardust Racers would be similar to? But then the tallest hill on Velocicoaster was too much for me, and I struggled a bit with the barrel rolls.

Looking at POVs of Stardust, it doesn't seem to have any super tall hills. I think I'd be fine until closer to the end where the barrel rolls start: Can someone verify - it looks like there is 1 maybe two barrel rolls that start at the top of a hill and roll as you go down?? Do both sides do this or does one side have barrel rolls closer to the ground than the other? I'm a little concerned with that first roll especially, and it's hard for me to tell from the POV videos exactly what it is doing. (or are these even barrel rolls??)

It's hard to tell with some of these videos that are POV. I am curious about Frankenstein ride but I can't tell how much the vehicles tilt. I am fine with screens in Forbidden journey but every time they dip you back It knocks my equilibrium off. There's no way I can do Stardust.

I'm interested in this too. My understanding is you spend a lot of time on your back, but I don't know how far back you tilt.

I've never even done Forbidden Journey because this makes me nervous, but I really want to do Monsters.

I can't seem to find hours of operation for Epic (not during previews, but for the last week of May/first week of June. Are they out yet?

Well I had been going back and forth but ended up doing it. I booked a night at Universal for the last day of the previews so hopefully I'll be checking it out on May 8. I'm already planning to be there opening weekend with my family, but due to some other plans, I'll also be in town the first week of May. I'll get to scope things out before I take the rest of my family.

Watched a video from ViewFromTheCheapSeats - nice to get what is probably a more realistic view of the previews.

I get tired of all over the top stuff positive stuff. He went once during TeamMember previews and once a couple of days ago.

I think its worth watching to get an idea of what can happen during the previews with broken-down rides or animatronics being down or even elements of shows were missing.

I fully expect those issues to happen, but maybe they are happening a bit more than the influencers are reporting.

BTW: Overall he is very positive on Epic - but he is also being much more realistic than most.

I think people have forgotten the meaning of a preview especially in the context of a theme park.

We rode Guardians during DVC preview and it stopped midway through went completely black and no music then eventually restarted but continued the ride that way in blackness and silence. That is indeed something much more likely to happen during previews. Anyone who expects it all to work so smoothly is misunderstanding what a preview is.

Agreed - I've watched a ton of videos and I did not get a sense that there were that many shutdowns - I am planning several days of previews because I expect there to be issues - but I think many folks are planning to do one day and do everything - and that is somewhat unlikely - possible - but unlikely

Any update on the Atlantic or Blue Dragon restaurant? I called Universal yesterday to make a dining reservation, and the TM said they take walk-ups only. Are these restaurants even opened right now?
Blue dragon reservations just opened for after May 22nd. If you pretend like you are booking Blue Dragon (select date and time) then change the end of the url to .atlantic then you can book Atlantic too.

Thank you so much - worked perfectly!

I did the preview today and it was incredible. Maybe i was lucky but we didn’t wait more than 20 minutes for any ride, and the only attractions we didn’t do were Stardust Racers (down for most of the day and then came back up at like 7 pm with a 150 minute wait), and Potter, because we couldn’t pull off getting a VQ at any of the drops. Mine Cart Madness we lucked out and caught right as it came back up and only had a 20 minute wait.

The macaroni and cheese cones in Berk were great. Toadstool Cafe had great theming, and ok food. All of Super Nintendo World was incredible.

Did this work for others as well? I can't book for either Blue Dragon or Atlantic - I get a red error message saying either there was a problem with my request or there are no reservations. I tried booking for 2 people and 3 people - any days - through July. Nothing worked.

So during previews has anyone been able to use the Universal Photo Pass?
I think someone mentioned on one of the streams it was not linked on the rides yet?
What about for meet and greets?
I'm surprised Universal is still going with that mediocre service and not brought it in house.

On the Universal sites it says starting may 22nd.

I think they fixed the glitch after a few hours and then you couldn't book either anymore.

No, it didn’t work for me. I also got the red message. I'll call later today.

I’m sorry if this is a stupid question but are the hotel preview tickets only available if u have an AP? It sounds like people are saying you can get tickets for Epic if you have a hotel stay but the only preview info on the UO website seems to be for APs. If open to everyone thinking of popping down and rolling the dice this weekend on a hotel stay!

It's open to everyone with a hotel stay. I believe you can buy the preview tickets at the hotel.
