Can anyone tell me about Universal with such small children? Do you think we would be better of doing disney? My older guy is only 36 inches. This is a last minute trip and we leave next Saturday.:yay:
Thanks

I know this is the Universal sub-board, but in my opinion, yes.. I think you are better off doing Disney. The MK has much more to offer for your children's ages. While US/IOA has things to offer, if you have to pick, I would go with Disney.

Sorry Universal.. :guilty: I am speaking from experience too... and my children did turn out to be thrill ride riders.

Thanks. That is what I thought, but I haven't been to Universal in 15 years so I wanted to confirm with those in the know. It looks like my boys will be quite the universal fans in the next few years.

I would just go where it is least busy. They will just want to do play areas and see a few shows anyways.

I agree with Disney being better.

We just got back from our first time at Universal. I wanted to try something different, and my DS likes the Simpsons (I don't really, I think it's too adult) and the Nickelodeon characters. I guess I got sucked in with the ticket deal - and it was nice to see the other parks.

I found most of Universal to be more adult or older child oriented.

Disney, for us, has more for the whole family. We did have an enjoyable weekend, but next time we'll go to Disney. It was fine, but all in all, I think Disney does a better job with almost everything. The hotel was nice (PBH), I found it comparable to the Swan/Dolphin.

I also think the food at Disney is better - has more options. Also, the employees seemed (don't find this weird please) less professional. It just seemed a notch down from what we're used to at Disney as far as the whole ambiance. I thought it was tacky to constantly see the signs for the "Meal Deal" everywhere. We never ate in the parks.

I actually think my kids may have been better waiting until they were teens, but that is just my family.

See my son is this total opposite. He is 6 and has been to US and IOA since a baby (we are AP holders in FL). We just took him to all the Disney parks this summer for the first time and he preffered US and IOA. Still to this day he asked us when we are going to Universal again. The one ride in Disney AK is Expedition Everest that he talks about and nothing else.:confused3 Guess it depends on the kid.

Hi - we were at Disney and UO in May and our two boys were 4 years old and 9mths old. Their favourite park by far was IOA!!! We could have spent our whole three week vacation at Seuss' Landing and they would have had the BEST time!!:rotfl:

Next trip we are going to spend our last week at UO - saving the best for last!!!:worship:

Have a great time!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
