We are considering going to Universal and staying onsite with a wheelchair-bound relative.

I assume the hotels and parks are quite accessible, and I think there are a couple walking (rolling) distance. However, relative can't really leave the chair and needs a lift. Disney DME bus has been incredible for this, one of the reasons we love Disney. My concern is how do you get the the Universal hotels? Is there a similar product for their hotels?

Universal doesn't have any transportation between the hotels and airport (accessible or otherwise). You would need to arrange an accessible taxi - the kind you roll into. I know Mears has them, I'm not sure if other companies do or not.

They do offer transportation as an add on, I believe it is a third party company though that provides it when you book your hotel.
