Hello again! If you read part 1 you know that we didn't stay overnight at RPR........I wondered if our parking pass would still be good. Apparently it was. Dh pulled up to the front & let me out so I could officially check us out of the room we didn't use LOL, and he went to park. We met at the boat dock and before we knew it we were once again in City Walk. It was soooo hot (africa hot) and when we got to the little fountains squirting out of the ground we did what you've all done before: We acted like idiots jumping all over trying to time them right so we could get squirted in the face. What a bunch of lunatics!! Maybe you saw us? Well you probably heard us because when we left there and headed towards Universal Studios we kept hearing this LOUD squeaking noice. SQUEAK, SQUEAK....SQUEAK, SQUEAK! over and over. People kept looking our way, we were looking back and forth....what the heck was it? DD8 (the chicken) was a few feet behind us.......we stopped to wait for her and....SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK! It was her. Her wet feet and flip flops! We were hysterical. People stared at us the whole way over the bridge and one guy yelled out: "hey, could you oil that kid?" We cracked up! DD's 10 & 12 were embarressed and wouldn't walk anywhere near us.
It was funny.........guess you had to be there.
Anyway, Once again DH insisted on doiing the park counter-clockwise so we started with The tribute to Lucy (big fans), and were able to take pics with shrek, fiona, and crash bandicoot before a huge line formed! T2.....dd8 chickened out even though we and the attendants assured her the seats dont move and it's NOT a rollercoaster. Anyway she was able to wait in a little room in the gift shop right outside the exit. The show was good. DD12 started to complain that her stomach hurt. She didn't look to good but today was our last day of FOTL and I was getting on the MUMMY! Well we did Back to the future (dd8 did it too!) and that just put tummyache dd12 over the top. We ended up leaving the park around 11:30am
I was soooo disappointed. I kept insisting we would return about 3pm because DD would (better!) recover by then. DH looked at me like I was the meanest mom.........OK maybe I was being a little selfish but...well you know. There was so much i wanted to do here. Horror makeup, Beetle Juice, THE MUMMY! We took the boat back to RPR....I almost wished I hadn't checked out already. DD could have hung out in the room till 2pm while we stayed in the parks. Sigh. Anyway, we headed back to HIFS. Gave DD some pepto-bismal pills, jumped in the shower and DH took the other two swimming. Around 2:55 I was chomping on the bit to get back. DD felt like herself again (thank god....and pepto) I went into the bedroom to grab my stuff and found DH fast asleep. ARGGGGGG!
Back to the RPR parking lot we went. we walked to CW this time, avoided the fountains and made it to the studios at 5:30pm, a little off schedule but not too bad.......or so I thought. We raced to the mummy, it was down....blah blah blah (I think I talked about this in part 1), did shrek, blah blah blah...back to the mummy! loved it but didn't love it-love it, it was too short! anyway By that time I missed all the shows.
Well we did see the animal planet show. It was cute but I was dissapointed that we didn't see GB, HM, or BJ. The last showtimes were 6:15pm. Those were the 3 I didn't want to miss. Oh well. I figured we could go back thurs or fri and maybe grab express passes for them. Earthquake was kinda cheezy. didn't seem real but Twister scared the pants off dd8. She actually came out crying. Our one and only disappointing encounter with a Universal employee happened here. We went through the express que with about 12 people in front of us and atleast twice that behind us. When we reached the area where the bales of hay & truck was it was a dead end. A rope blocked our path. We stood there waiting.....figured someone would let us all in and watched rather annoyed as non-FOTL people breezed by us in another line. What was going on. Some FOTLiners went under the rope and followed them right into the preshow. We, like good guests, stayed patiently behind the rope. Well, Finally like after 10 minutes of watching everyone pass us DH unhooks the rope. People behind us cheer and we march around the bend only to find an attendant standing there (with her thumb up her....) DH nicely asked her what was going on and why didnt she let the express line go? She told him not to get in her face about it and that if we saw everyone else going in why didn't we just follow them in the first place. Not very nice. DH was fuming but he kept his cool ( didn't let her ruin it for us!!)and we went inside for the preshow. I really liked twister. Jaws was good too. I'm a big fan and just hearing the music made me tingle!!! I did terrible on MIB. 67k - what a loser!!! tried again: 60K - LOOOOZAR! Couldn't remember any of the tips from this board. We made our way around the lake and back twice before the park closed at 9pm. I wanted to try margarittaville but the wait was over an hour with the card key so we walked back to rpr, jumped in the car and went to OUTBACK for dinner. I luv their steak. I love to cook & BBQ but I just kill a good steak - so if I can, I always order them out...to get my red meat fix. When we got back to HIFS the pool was still open but the kids were beat. Our day started off badly but it ended really well. With 5 day tickets i really wanted to do the parks again but NOT without FOTL!!!! What to do........what to do???
Stay tuned for Part 3: "I was a Universal felon!"

Oh, did I mention that on monday (6/21) we did seaworld? We've done it before and really enjoy Kraken & Atlantis. It was early and we were able to ride Kraken 3x in a row before lines formed (dd8 waited in the cave for us). We did Atlantis 2x and used child swap. The first time dd walked thru the ride and waited at the exit the second time they made us split up and gave us an "Atlantis Swap Card." I still have it if anyone is interested. i don't throw anything out LOL. The shamu show was great - sat in the splash zone got completely soaked, but never made it onto the tv screen
. The kids fed the seals and dolphins, pet the stingrays, etc. etc. It was a good day. We left around 3pm and were disappointed to find our hotel pool closed because of an "accident" (YUK!). Oh well, the kids hit the gameroom and dh and I enjoyed a few cocktails!
