Southern California Universal Studios Annual Pass at Costco

Just saw they have annual passes for $80 at Costco for Universal Studios. The question I have is can these passes be upgraded and if so, what value do you get towards upgrading?

I am assuming the original dollar amount, but I don't know.

Yes they can be upgraded to No Blackout or Premium Annual passes only.

You would get a $79 credit towards the gate prices of the No Blackout and Premium passes.
