I've tried searching the forums for some answers but I can't get the search feature to work right.
My husband and I want to go to Universal without the kids in January. We were at Universal in Orlando this past January but with the kids, and we missed tons because the kids are afraid of the big rides. So, when we go back, should be go to Florida or California? Does one park outshine the other? Any opinions? Thanks!

There's no comparison. Orlando. But its mainly because Hollywood has very limited space and just the one park.

Orlando has Universal Islands of Adventure which is probably the best park in the world out of any park, plus the onsite hotels, many more rides, more restaurants just more more more. As far as I know the only cool thing Hollywood has that Orlando doesn't is Waterworld and its not the greatest, just decent IMO.

I agree. It's been a long time since I went to USH (I actually went there first) and the tram ride just doesn't really cut it. I'm sure they've changed stuff since 1991 but w/o IOA it just wouldn't have the appeal to me.

I was in Universal Hollywood last year and I didn't think it was a patch on Orlando. I liked the Jurassic Park River Adventure better at Hollywood, but that's maybe just personal choice. It's quite cramped and awkward as well.

No contest for me - Orlando every time.

The other plus point is there's an In & Out Burger really near to the Hollywood park. No In & Outs in Orlando :sad1:

I have to agree that Universal Orlando is soooo much more enjoyable than USH. Here is why ;)

1/ The Studio Tour is fun and all but it tries to roll Kongfrontation, Earthquake & Jaws into one tour of movie sets etc and it just doesn't pull them off @ all

2/ The theming @ Universal Hollywood is OK but the Orlando park is far superior

3/ More rides/shows @ USF

4/ Orlando is a much more pleasant area than Hollywood

5/ The park is just so cramped...the placement of the rides is thoughtless and they have no themed area's ie. Amity, New York etc

6/ Universal Orlando has two parks!

:woohoo:

USH has also really not had anything new for a while from what I've seen. I've never been there, but I know what attractions they have, and besides the tram tour, there's very little they have that USF doesn't

I agree on this! The jeep falling off the side of the building is so much cooler than a crate about to fall on your head.

Universal Orlando is so much better, though. Hollywood's tram tour was pretty cool, just because you actually get to see sets that are being used and such. But Orlando is the best, hands down. There's so much more to it!

Don't forget the...

(SPOILER ALERT!)

...Extra T-Rex at the top of the lift hill! Didn't see that one coming!
