We are heading to the 4day Disney Cruise next week and are deciding what to do the 3 extra days when we return to Orlando before heading home. We are considering 2 days at US and UIA and not doing Disney but I'm having a hard time thinking of being in Orlando and not visiting MK. We went to US years ago. Our kids are 8 & 12 and not huge thrill riders. Do we need 2 days for US/UIA? Will I be disappointed that we didn't do a Disney Park hopper instead?

Thanks for the advice.

If your kids arent thrill ride fans than you may not need a full 2 days at Universal. But, I dont think you can park hop at Universal on a one day pass. Can you do 2 days at Universal and 1 at Disney?

Yes. We can do 2 days and 1 day at Disney. We will be getting back from the cruise Thursday morning. What do you think about 2 day park hopper at Universal for Thur afternoon and Friday and then Disney on Sat? I'm a little concerned about crowds on Sat at Disney AND they do have the Halloween party at Disney on Friday night. Have you been?

I think I'm thinking too much:crazy:

You aren't thinking too much, its called "Planning". Saturday is terrible at MK. Last year we went to MNSSH opening night and HHN the next. That is the last time we visited WDW and my kids 10 and 16 haven't asked to go back to WDW since. The party was OK for ride access but the costume thing, standing in long lines for cheap candy and the ultra-boring riverboat ride wasn't that much fun. The most fun we had was Jungle Cruise. The boat capt. asked if anyone was new to the ride and everyone had done it before so he let my daughter do the corny puns. She knew every one from the 12" to 1 foot butterflies to the '62 Impala to the back side of water to you are in de Nile!
They love US/IOA now and it makes them feel more grown up. There was a time that neither would ride Space Mountain and now they live for Hulk and the Mummy. Have you considered staying on-site at USO and getting FOTL priviledges? If you do, you could become very spoiled like many of us. If you were to stay on-site do it last or the lines at MK will be unbearable.

Thanks so much for your respone. You helped alot! I wish we were staying on-site. We had a deal through Hilton Grand Vacation Club and are staying at their resort across from Sea World. I think you're right, my kids are past the cheap candy at Disney but the shorter lines is a bonus.

Maybe....I'll go ahead and buy the 2 day US/IOA deal that is on special and actually spands 5 days. We can go on Thursday and if the kids feel they must do Disney, we'll buy a 1 day at the gate on Friday.

I'm glad to hear you love US/IOA...it's what I needed to hear. I'm just so unfamiliar with it.

Our countdown is on!! We leave this Saturday! Maybe I should do some laundry!:Pinkbounc
