I'm normally a huge chicken when it comes to thrill rides, but lately I've become a bit more daring. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the thrill rides at Universal Studios and IOA. I love the mountains (Splash, Space, Big Thunder) and Expedition Everest. Rock n Rollercoaster still freaks me out, but I end up having a lot of fun on that. Tower of Terror scared me for years, but I finally did it and it wasn't so bad.

I've actually been on The Mummy, which I liked a lot, and Jurassic Park and Dudley Do Right, which still scare me. I'm not a fan of big drops, and I think the Jurassic Park ride was my limit. How do you think I would do on the other big rides, like Dr. Doom, Hulk and Dueling Dragons? I don't know if I'll be able to do them next time, but I just wanted some other opinions. Also, I want to give Dudley Do Right another try (if it's even open when I'm there). How many drops are on that and where exactly are they?

Thanks for any help!

Doom ride I hate. I do all right on tower of terror because there is a bottom and you can't see down. Doom you see down. Hulk is an incredible ride. I love it. it might freak you out though because you do invert and go through a tunnel. What you can do it stand on the bridge and watch it go by. Basically what you see is what will happen. Dueling Dragons is the only roller coaster that gets me queazy. It might freak you out because sometimes you get the feeling you are going to crash into something.

Dudley Do Right's big drop is kinda scary but i LOVE IT!!! you should definitely give it another try. i dont really care for dueling dragons either, so its up to you. i really just like waiting in line walking through the castle-like area.

I love Dr. Doom but I love big drops. The bigger the better.

Dueling Dragons and Hulk are fun if your head can stand going upside down. They aren't really scary but they do demand that you aren't the ridesick type of person.

I find that with one dramamine, I can ride anything.

Dudley has only one drop that is worth mentioning and that is right at the end.

What about the Adventures of Spiderman? Too scary with the 400 foot drop for a 6 year old that LOVES Spidey? He meets the height requirement... but worried about that drop! :confused3

The drop is not real. It is only a screen in front of you. Just close your eyes and the simulated drop won't even exist.

The drop is not real? :scared1: :rotfl:

Since you have been brave enough to do Rock 'n' Roller Coaster you should give DD and Hulk a shot!

Millenium Force at CP is 310 and that was pretty darn high.

I have ridden anything higher.

Kingda Ka is over 400ft tall, FYI

And I will thoroughly enjoy watching my son ride it this summer. :rotfl:

That launch is more than I can handle.

But Spidey, I can do easy!

Thanks for the info. RnRcoaster is the only upside down coaster I've ever been on, so I'm not sure if I'm ready for Hulk or Dueling Dragons yet, but we'll see! Spiderman is an amazing ride, definitely one of my favorites. The drop is simulated so it's really nothing. I love it!
