10/03, Just my wife and I. Left the house at 5:40am, got to the airport and flew via TMA. Decent flight, got the shuttle to the Royal Pacific. We got our room keys and went straight to the Hard Rock for lunch. I must say that this was a major disappointment and about the only one. My wifes cajun chicken was all fat and she couldn't eat it, and my ribs were pretty fatty too. Oh well move on, stuff happens. We went to Universal Studios and did Jimmy Neutron. Cute show, then Shrek, good as well. We did twister and saw the infamous ghostbuster show. It was funny, but I can see why the girls love it. We did earthquake and Jaws, Back to the future, ET, all okay. We loved MIB, it was a lot of fun. We walked though the kids zone and caught Terminator on the way out. It was pretty good too, but MIB was about the best thing in our opinion. We then had to leave to make dinner reservations.
We had 8:00 reservations at Emerils Tchoup chop. This was plainly stated the best food I've ever had. We both started with a cheesy potato and bacon soup (something i've never had anything like) and it was great. I was worried because I'm a basic burger, steak, chicken kind of guy. We then had the hawain platter (chicken, ribs, a noodle/pork side, baked macaroni, and diced potatos. The service was outstanding and I thought it to be well worth the money. We then walked City Walk and caught the Rundown at the theatre. This was a funny movie for anyone interested.
10/04 We got up and did IOA. This park is far and away the best of the two in my opinion. We started off with the Hulk, a great coaster. We then did Spiderman which my wife loved. We wound up riding it 5 times between Sat and Sun. We then worked the opposite way to go toward Mythos for lunch. We looked around Suess landing, very colorful and cute. We rode the Cat in the Hat (I'm a big kid), which was fun. We then did Poseidens Fury which was an okay show. Then we stopped at Mythos for opening and had the burgers which were good. The waiter was excellent, and we had the famous gooey chocolate banana cake for desert. It was awsome. We went and did the Dueling dragons and saw Hulk Hogan getting off which was cool. We rode fire and it was a great ride, nice and smooth. We did the Jurassic park ride which I loved, and we did it three times total. I think they did a far better job at this ride than Disney did on the Dinosaur. We made it to toon lagoon and I thought this area was really cool. I took a million pictures and we got in line for the Dudley Doright ripsaw falls. Just as we got to the front they closed the ride for technical problems. We went back a while later and got back on and it was really a great ride. The front of the line passes made it all worthwhile as I never would have waited in some of those lines and wouldn't have enjoyed myself if I had to. We went around to some areas again and waited in the enchanted oak at closing for HHN. The food at the Enchanted Oak was fair at best, but after Tchoup chop and Mythos I may have been spoiled.
We walked out of the E.O. and found some rides to be running but no-one on them. We waited a while and then noticed that the Psycho Scareapy house was open at about 5:30. This was a great house and they scared my wife to death. We then went to the all night Drive in which opened at about 6:30 and this was a cool house too. The park reopened at that point and we used our express passes for the rest of the houses and the first bill and ted show. Scream house revisited was okay, and the scaractors were following my wife around and freaking her out. I was dying laughing and she wound up taking the lead and pulling me on a fast pace out of the house. I walked into this house with my wife and wound up with my wife and another guy and his wife who were sticking to me the whole time. The Bill and Ted show was pretty funny, a little edgy in some spots but funny, and definately geared towards an older audience. We then did the ship of screams, funhouse of fear, and jungle of doom, which were all pretty lame in my opinion and not nearly as good as the first too. We watched infestation for a few minutes which was okay and then did some rides. I didn't see any of the freaks there that were at last years, like the tattood guy, but the scareactors running around and at the front of the park were cool. We finished off with a second showing of Bill and Ted, which was slightly different from the first and a trip on Popeyes Barges which were not opened during the day.
10/05 We made it back to Universal for the Animal Planet live show which was cute. We then went straight for the Horror Make up show which was possibly the funniest show i've seen in a long time. I wish I'd brought my camcorder. We did MIB again and then went to Emerils on City Walk. This was a bad choice for us. Neither of us saw anything on that menu that we thought we'd eat and wound up having pizza which was okay. We had their banana cream pie for desert which was excellent. We then went to IOA for one last Spiderman ride and had to head home.
