Universal hotels?

My friends are visiting Universal in April and I was wondering if Universal has "codes" like Disney. They are interested in staying at Portafinos but $300 a night was too steep! Any help appreciated

they have discounts with AAA and annual pass holders at US/IOA - they also use to have a entertainment rate discount - although someone say it is not listed in the book this year. the US hotels have still been honoring it - but definitely call the hotel and ask first!!!
