Universal Hotel prices for Aug'11 - any available?

Hi
Has anyone received any accomodation only prices from their travel agents or websites for RPR / Hard Rock for August 2011?
My t.agent has quoted £136 a night at RPR, but lots of others dont have any prices and would like some advice please.

What date CJ? price varies a lot thru August. Also how many people for.
Would you only consider those 2? for our dates PBH was cheapest of the 3 last time I looked

We will be requiring a room (2 adults / 1 teenager aged 16) from 14th August for 7 nights.
We've stayed at RPR before however would be happy with any of the 3 if I can get a good price.

RPR $1,108.10 & $138.50 tax = $1,246.60 = £123/night @$1.44/£1
PBH $1,363.60 & $170.48 tax = $1,534.08 = £152/night

Annual pass rates(sometimes worth buying an AP to get AP rate but maybe not with these savings)
RPR $1,013.00 & $126.63 tax = $1,139.63 = £113/night
PBH $1,213.00 & $151.63 tax = $1,364.63 = £135/night

Other option is AAA but you would have to ring to get a price, AA membership can be bought for about £7 to get AAA discount.

Looks like buying direct is cheaper than your original quote(if same room) and also means you can cancel upto 5 days before arriving and get full deposit(1 nights stay) back if you see a cheaper price.

I am trying to book a room direct with my friend at the HRH for next September, but she isn't able yet. Told it will be a couple of months.

Forget my previous post, I just read Kevins post and realised you mean Aug 2011, too early yet for direct (as Kevin says)

probably Aug , for next years prices. I usually book room for next year around then, but there will be no promos on like AP or AAA yet,, so book at rack rate and watch for deals coming out later.
Usually value season starts around 14th to 16th Aug [think its 15th this year] and rates do come down after that.
