I read on another thread that the FOTL access will be gone soon? Does anyone know if this is true, if so when will it be gone. My family and I are going there November 17th and 18th
and will be VERY disappointed if they discontinue this perk for resort guests. Please help with info.

the only change I know of is they are putting in scanners that will scan your room key and will limit the number of times you use FOTL on a single ride (rumors have been from once a day to once an hour)

Front of the line access is misleading, I wish peeps would get this out of their heads. The old FOLA is now Express Pass Access, which we've found can be 30 min. at Spiderman on peak days.
The only FOLA is the VIP Tour.

hhnfreak,

I have never been to US, but from what I have read I believe FOTL and Express Pass are two different things. Express Pass is where you scan your card and get a time to come back and ride. FOTL is for guests of the resort. They can show their key and go through the Express line at ANYTIME.

I may be mistaken. If so, someone please correct me!

You are correct Tarmand! I called Universal Studios yesterday and they said the FOTL access has not been removed for resort guests!

:D

The confusion is the term "FOTL". It used to be you would show your key and be taken in the exit and go right to the front. Now you show your key and go right in the express line. Therefore, you are not exactly going to the front of the line because there will already be some people with express passes in the express line. We were there the week of July 4 and the parks were VERY busy. With our room key we never waited more than ten minutes and most times it was less than that. Just call it express access --whatever you call it it's FANTASTIC!!

On-site hotel guests used to get 'VIP Front of the line access',
Well when the VIP TOUR Dept. lost 2 million dollars because noone was taking the tour anymore and VIP Tour guests, some of whom pay $3000, for a two day two park VIP Tour, started *****ing about the 'other' guests pre-boarding with them, they made the hotel guest use the express line.
The only guest allowed instant, front of the line, VIP access, are:
VIP Tour Guests accompanied by a Universal Orlando VIP Resort Tour Guide, Business Card Guests, Gold Executive Card Guests, Special Assistance Passes, Baby Swap Guests.
Everyone else, express ticket holders, and on-site hotel guests MUST use the express line.
Universal is soooooooo dead these days, since Sept. 11, there is NO WAIT at any attraction. Some major changes are in the works, it seems as if tourism has ceased completely and the theme park bosses are sweating bullets about how much money is going out and not coming in. Layoffs are a given now, it's so sad hundreds will lose their jobs because people are scared to fly and travel. We Americans are cutting our own throats.....God help us all.

The word i get is that Express will not exist at a given ride until the wait time in the regular line exceeds 15 minutes.;)
