Universal Express Plus - Necessary In Late Sept???

I will be heading to Orlando in less than a week and I will be spending one day in Universal/IOA. Since I only have one day for both parks, is the Universal Express Plus necessary for a Friday in late September or a waste of money? I have not been to IOA or used the Express Pass system so any advice is welcomed.

You won't need it. I was there yesterday and most rides were a walk on. If you plan on hitting both parks be at the gate a little before 9:00 AM. The parks close early at this time of year.

I will be staying at the Portofino so I guess the FOTL benefit will be useless, but still looking forward to seeing the property!!! Thanks so much for the info!

The lines are so short, you don't need express.

If you're staying onsite, use your room key for your favorite attractions.
