Let the wild speculation begin!

"The land is adjacent to the $130 million purchase Universal made in December 2015, north of Universal Boulevard and west of Destination Parkway. The latest acquisition gives Universal more than 570 acres to work with for expansions, which is multiple times larger than the property it currently owns and operates as Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay."

That is a massive amount of land. Anyone know specifically where "off of Sand Lake Rd" this land is located?

This map doesn't show where the earlier land purchase is located, though I *think* it's directly to the south of this newly purchased parcel. Orlando locals will know better than me about how far this is from the existing UOR.

So are we thinking it is big enough for a new resort or more of a new park with bigger rides???

I bet a 'true' third gate. Sorry, WPs don't count in my book.:snooty::p

The last thing Sand Lake Road needs is more traffic. Maybe they'll build a monorail:duck:

I would love to see another park and more dining but look at what Disney is doing do UO needs to keep up. Monorail would be a great addition to UO

Yep, water parks don’t mean much to us either.........I want a park, proper park with rides........

That is such a busy area.........will be interesting when they finally announce the plans what they will/have come up with............::yes::

Agree on the WP - especially now that they seem to default to the 3 "park" pass on most offers and such and although I might go walk around it to look around for a couple of hours I have zero interest in it - and I do think the extra 100 on the annual pass is a bit steep

I just hope they continue the two park option

As for monorails - although an icon of Disney I think it is a maintenance nightmare.
Maybe universal can come up with something new and unique get from city walk to the new area will be and stay within the universal security bubble so we are not going through security at multiple locations

I read about them building a rapid rail transit system that goes down the middle of Universal Blvd. along what is now mostly a grass way.

The extra $100 is something I'm not willing to pay right now unless the park will actually be available any day I want to go. We decided against adding the upgrade when renewing last year, mostly because my renewal date is January, and it wouldn't have been usable until the park opened in late May, but my expiry date would stay the same as my original 2 park pass. Then when it did open, it was at capacity every day with resort guests before it was open to day guests. I was very happy to have saved the extra $$ on something I might have never had the chance to use.

I agree no more WP but maybe they see the money there and it could be a push for another. Disney has 2 so why not add a second??

I read online how the city council discussed and believe approved that UO proposal

That is going into the Studios where kidzone is. It will be called Super Nintendo World.

I had read that too but looking at the size of the plans I don't see how it will all fit there. (Mariokart!!!!!!!) can you tell I'm excited
