We are going Easter Saturday and won't arrive until 10:30 am or so. Does virtual que times run out? The main reason we are going is to see that land and ride Mario Cart, so if arriving that late would prevent us from getting into that area, we would probably not do it unless we know FOR SURE we would get to experience it.

They absolutely can and do run out. When my daughter and i went on a sunday in March we got into the park at around 945 and the earliest time i could get was 6:30. Around 10 they were all gone. More can open as the day goes on but its not guaranteed. Also by that time of day the wait for Mario Cart will be around 3 hours. We opted not to do it. The only way to guarantee entry into the land is to buy early entry or get an express pass. The early entry for Easter Sunday is sold out but sometimes more do pop up. You just have to stalk the site. Express pass is pricey but it does get you in. Note, it does NOT get express entry to Mario Cart though. You still have to wait. We ended up purchasing early entry for the end of April so hopefully will have better luck. It is a fun land and theres lots to do ,just wall to wall people. Good Luck!

Showing up at 10:30 will be too late, most likely.

You need to be at the park by about 30 minutes before opening time to get a decent land entry slot before they are all gone.

Your only way to guarantee land entry at this point is to buy Expresss Pass (gives you ONE reservation free land entry per day).

If you DO get a VQ spot, yes, you will have guaranteed entry to the land at that time. No guarantee to ride the kart ride though.

As mentioned, the line for the ride averages about 180 minutes after the first hour of the park being open. If you get there at opening time, it will be around 60 minutes because the early entry people have already been in there for awhile.

We visited on Saturday March 18. Missed out on the early entry tickets, but arrived by 7:15, parked in Front Gate Parking (literally right in front of the security checkpoint at the park entrance) and were scanned into the park by 7:30. They held us in a line at the escalators down to the lower lot until about 7:50. We headed down and were able to walk into the land without a reservation, but that ability was cut off by 8:15. Once in the land, I made a reservation to come back at noon, and we made lunch reservations for Toadstool Cafe. The line for Mario Kart was 60 minutes at that point. By 5 minutes later, it was up to 120 minutes. By the time we were done riding, 3 hours.

By 10:30am, VQ land entry slots were gone. By 11am, Toadstool Cafe reservations were gone.

We were just there yesterday March 26th. We did the 1 hour early entry tickets and the Express Pass. Opened at 7 and the ride was down until 7:40. Luckily we had gotten in line when other people got out and got to ride it. When we exited and the whole park had opened it was MADNESS. We had gotten a reservation for Toadstool Cafe at noon when we got there at 7, knowing we could re-enter with the Express Pass. I think the reservations go quickly. When we did go back a bit before noon, they had shut down a while before that but got in no problem with scanning the Express Pass. It was wall to wall people in the land and was crazy! Went to Toadstool Cafe and proceeded to wait 30 mins to order, another 35 mins for a table and then another 30 mins for are food to be delivered. The food looked amazing and tasted bland at best. Mario Kart averaged 180 min wait most of the day and then broke down again around 3 pm.

Another plus for the Express Pass was the lines averaged 70 mins for all the rides after the first hour of the park. It was super nice to have and be able to enjoy the rest of the park.

If Nintendo World is important to you, I would get the Express Pass. We did not regret it.

They can, so try to get there as early as you can

Also plan on the ride having lines from 180+ mins

If getting the express pass, what does wait times for the ride look like? If you go straight to the Mario Cart ride is it possible to ride without an hour wait? The pass would add $50 onto the day but could be worth it if it makes it possible to ride and not miss out on other things because you’re standing in line.

The express pass doesn't work on the Mario Kart ride, just to be clear. If you arrive to the park about 15 min prior to official opening, you will get into the land first thing, and won't need a reservation. The line for the ride at that time will be somewhere between 45-60 min. Do the ride first. Explore the land afterwards.

I would never purchase EP just for getting into the land. Its easy to get a reservation to enter if you get there early in the day. The #1 best way to experience this land is to commit to an early morning and do the early entry. Second best option is arrive and be walking in the gates 15 min before park open.

The EP will help you with OTHER rides through the day, if you want to ride everything.
