Universal Adventures of Dreams AND Magic, and an expanding World!

I do have that kinda effect on people!

:rotfl:

Your land looks so nice and I love all the animal shots I'll have to show River the baby pictures tomorrow.

I think the shirts turned out great!

Thanks. I like living out here. I grew up on a farm too. Some days have it's down side....like yesterday when the when was just right and they had spread manure out in the field behind the house a few days ago..and it STUNK. Thats one thing I can't get used to.

I've kind of gone astray here so I want to do a recap to get back on track.

"pre" pre-trip ~ Oct. 31, Halloween: We will be trick or treating. When I worked on dates for the trip I had thought about going down early all along, but there was no way I would do it if we missed Halloween at home. Claire would be too disapointed to miss trick or treating with friends. So I gave up on an early arrival.......until I got wind of the last party being on the 2nd of Nov.

Hopefully we'll be pretty much packed and ready on this day.

Pre-trip~ Nov. 1: this will probably become day 1 when I start my Trip report.

Claire will go to school for a full day. We will say our good byes to Skip and head down to Columbus that evening and spend the night with my sister who lives there. (she's not coming on this trip at all...her choice). I don't want to leave too early to get down there, but I think it's about 2 1/2 hours to drive. I want to time it so we can have a little visiting time, then head off to bed.

Day 1~ Nov.2: We will get up extremely early for our 7:20 flight. My sister says we should get to the airport between 5:30 and 6. I dread getting up early...but who am I kidding, I won't sleep much the night before. Claire on the other hand will be harder to get up.

We land around 9:30 and will use ME to get to AKL. We'll check in and hope to be able to get in our room early. We'll explore, swim, and just hang out. If we gt in our room early, we'll take a little nap too. Around 3:30 or so we'll head over to the MK for the party and hopefully stay till midnight. I plan to catch the 2nd parade that night. I am also planning a Dis meet! This will be so much fun to finally meet Carey! Over the last year I have come to consider her a good friend.
We've (Claire and I) been doing some talking about costumes. Claire tried on several things the other day and decided she wants to be a pirate...this may change in the next 6 months, so I'm not holding my breath on that one. I am bringing pirate gear for the cruise, but I am thinking it may be too hot to wear this for the party. Weather will be a big factor. My outfit has a heavy blazer and if it's hot, I'll never be able to stand it. My other thought was to be a "graduate". I helped my Mom & Dad move furniture the other day for some rooms that are getting painted. As we were cleaing out a room we found Michael's graduation cap. Mom thinks his gown is in a closet that is blocked by a dresser right now (till after painting is done). If we find that, I think that might be light weight and a good option...and free too. I also looked up high school musical grad outfits for Claire. I found 2 sites that have them on clearance. One only has a 4-6 though. The other has a 6-8, but I'm not even sure that would fit her. I found another site with a 10-12, but their price is higher than the origional price the other 2 sites had. If I can find it for a steal, I might ask her if she wants to go that route.

Day 2~ Nov. 3: I have a 10:50 AM ADR for Boma. I want to give it a try, but I don't know if we'll keep it or not. I want Claire to sleep in, but check out is 11 anyways. Also Claire isn't a big breakfast eater, but if I tell her it's lunch, she'll probably eat more. LOL!. We plan to take ME back to the airport to meet up with family, but not sure when yet, as we are still watching flight prices for them...and again they went up another $40. UGH!

Once we meet, we'll get our rental cars and head over to Residence Inn at the port. I am hoping we can see the fantasy sail off. We'll probably let the girls swim and just hang out and get a bite to eat for dinner. Then off to dream land and get ready for the next exciting adventure.

Day 3~Nov. 4: We will get up, get the free breakfast and get ready to head to the port. I don't know our boarding times yet, but I do hope to get early ones. We plan to have 1 member from each car drive us over and drop off everything and then they will come back and leave the cars at RI and take the shuttle over to the port. It all sounds good in theory, lets hope it all goes as planned.

We board the Dream and have a blast!

Day 4~Nov. 5: This is our Nassua day. I am still debating excurisons, but I think Claire and I will be doing the Atlantis Aquarium tour.

Which now has us all caught up and on to day 5!

I've made ribbon flip flops before but it was many many years ago. They really are easy to make. Here's the link to a video of how to make them: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...C5&first=0&qpvt=how+to+make+ribbon+flip+flops

Thats funny. That is the same video I just found and posted. :rotfl2:

did you say you lived near the Dunk hunters? We (well Skip was) watching it the other night and they were talking about "here in West Monroe". And I was like...wait I think Lisa said she lives near them.....And Skip looked at me like I had 3 heads.

Well, then great minds think alike! :)

Yes, we do live in the same city as the Duck Dynasty guys. I've met Mr. Phil before when my Dad was still alive and duck hunting. Willie lives right down the street from my sister. My niece went to school with Jase. One of Hunter's friends dates Willlie's son. Just goes to show you what size town we live in. ;)They are some of the most down-to-Earth folks you'll ever meet. As a matter of fact, I saw Korie in Walmart the other day when I was picking up John's medicine. You'd never know that they were all multi-millionaires. The things that they do and the stunts they pull are soooooo the kind of tricks we play on each other at our household.

Thats so funny. I swear every time Skip watches it I ask him if he's sure they are rich. :rotfl2:

Jen - love the baby calf & kitties! Your shirts/dress are too adorable.

You are going to have a blast.:thumbsup2

Lisa - That is too funny about the Duck Dynasty show! It's such a small world after all! We've been watching the show here too and we just laugh and laugh. The funniest one was the decoys on the roof of the plant, and the skunk!

I'd much rather watch a show like that than something like Jersey Shore. It's good to see folks still spend time with family. Although the one where he was skinning frogs, i had to turn away!

Just stopping by to say Happy Mothers Day!:flower:

By the way I showed River your farm pictures and now he wants me to get a farm! I told him absolutely! As soon as I win the lottery;)

Thank you! Sure...just pick him up a farm at the market. pixiedust: You'll also need a little magic for that.

I just have to share this.

Yesterday was Skip's birthday.
I went shopping with Mom, because she wanted to get him a new grill and wanted me to help pick it out. We stopped at my Aunts house whileout and about, and my Aunt gave me a picture that one of her friends had painted. It was from a picture I had taken of Claire a few years ago...on of my favorites. I guess her friend wanted to paint a child, so my Aunt gave her a copy of the picture of Claire and this lady did a wonderful job. We decided to head over to Hobby Lobby and frame it and give it to Skip for his birthday...which he loved. I think he thinks I hired this lady to do the picture. :rotfl:

Here is the origional picture.

And here is the framed painted version

Day 5 planning ~ Tuesday, Nov. 6

I believe this is our Castaway Cay day.

I'll probably get up with the sun...once again....I love exploring the empty ship in the morning.

sunrise1.jpg

And soon we'll gaze on this!

stitchedcc640.jpg

We are planning to try out the Sting Ray excursion with snorkling. Claire wants to snorkle, and I think this will be a great place to try it for a beginner. I hope to get the 1st session, which means lazy butt will have to get going pretty early.

After that, we'll explore the island and hopefully find a few characters.

Maybe do a little relaxing

And very likely we will rent a tube, as this was a huge hit with Claire last year.

I do plan to get more pictures here this time around, since several were lost on my lost SD card last trip.

After our fun day on the beach, we'll dress for dinner....I believe this is pirate night.

crazytink.jpg

I have a new costume for Claire this year, with a matching one for cousin Alexis. Little Abby is going to wear one of Claire's old pirate costumes.

After dinner...

lobstershrimp.jpg

we'll go to the pirate show.

hook.jpg

And maybe I'll have a cocktail...I don't drink a lot, but sometimes ist's nice to have a fruity drink on a cruise ship.

drinks.jpg

We might fit in a character meet.

claireandpirateminnie.jpg

And then watch the fireworks.

fireworks2.jpg

Perhaps we'll catch a bite at the buffet this time around too. We totally missed it last time.

Then time for bed...
