This seems like a fantastic deal unless I'm missing something. This is through AAA South's website (might be on other AAA websites, too), but it's their Cyber Monday sale (it's only $169.99 -- both children and adults):

The 3 Park, 14 Day Unlimited Ticket entitles one (1) guest admission to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Wet 'n Wild. Ticket is valid for fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days which includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used. No blockout dates!
This ticket also includes fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days of admission to select live entertainment venues of Universal CityWalk® ("CityWalk") which commences and includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used. Unused days will be forfeited.
Tickets are non-refundable.

So, am I reading that correctly? It's good for up to 14 consecutive days of unlimited access to US, IOA and Wet 'n Wild?

I'm sure a more experienced person will correct us both if we're wrong, but I believe you're correct about the ticket you're looking at- 14 days of consecutive use.

I just logged into my AAA account, and up north we don't have that deal - it's still the normal $199 price, not including tax and shipping.

$169 is a good deal, but there will probably be tax on that, so the total price will probably be around $185. Undercover Tourist sells that ticket for $201 with tax and shipping ($188.73 pre-tax), so it looks like you're saving about $20 per ticket, at least for adults, and about $10 per ticket for kids.

FWIW, I've checked out all the travel sites I can find lately, and AAA has had the best deals for onsite hotels too. Most of those require advance payment, but they've been $50 per night less than other sites, even with promos (except for UO's Cyber Monday deal at Cabana Bay).

i booked both the US Black Friday deal at CB and the Cyber Monday deal at AAA. I am hoping for low crowds Jan. 4-9.

Yep.

I think the one issue is going to be if you fall madly in love with Universal and wnat to upgrade to an AP. Because of the Wet and Wild portion of the ticket, from what I've read here, these tickets are non-upgradable. So if you fall in love with the place and feel a strong need to come back inside a year, you'll be buying more tickets at that time.

Or do what we did and just get the AP on that second visit. And then just keep the APs because the current cost of a renewed Preferred AP is the approximate cost of a 3 day park to park ticket...
