Unique MNSSHP Activities

I am taking my mom to MNSSHP in a couple of weeks. We went in 2004 and spent too much time in the trick or treat lines and on the rides, and this time we'd like to appreciate the parades, fireworks, and activities more. What unique events or activities are available at MNSSHP this year other than the scheduled activites (fireworks, parade, villains show, & dance parties)?

For example, in 2004 they had storytelling on the Liberty Belle, fortune tellers in Adventureland, and some kind of wizard show near the castle.

We were at the 9/15 party. We did the trick-or-treating, dance parties, a couple of character meet & greets, the parade, and HalloWishes.

I wasn't aware of any off-the-beaten-path-and-not-on-the-map extra activities. I would have liked to have seen the Villians, but the above kept us busy for the whole evening.
