Unique Disney World Traditions??

We kick off our vacation doing the monorail crawl the 1st night and stopping @ the poly and walk out on the beach and watch wishes!
We always go back to MK on our last day and ride the train around twice before leaving!

I have two.

First, I try to do at least one morning run in the Epcot resort area. I like running around the lake and down the canal path to DHS and back. Usually I do a few loops. After I go into the Boardwalk to cool down and grab something to eat at the Belle Vue Lounge.

Second I always make a trip to AKL because I really like that resort but can't justify the cost of staying there.

First Nights Dinner is at Liberty Tree Tavern!!!

We were just there July 2013 only 6 months ago but honestly it seems so much longer :confused3 Why????? Probably because I wish we could go once a year :(

We start at Magic Kingdom and do Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates, and then Haunted Mansion. Then do the same at the end of the night.

On our last day, we do the same as above, before we drive back home.

We also begin and end at MK. On our first full day at the MK (which usually the day we arrive depending on timing), we have breakfast at Crystal Palace before park opening. We also always take my daughter's picture on the bench by the Tiger Tree in AK. We always get a dole whip at least once during the trip and eat a bucket of popcorn while watching the evening parade at the MK.

Loving the idea of the themed dinners to mark the dates. I'm so doing that this year!!

We always do MK as our first and last park. A typical scream when we enter Disney property (even if we have to wake the kids up first) and when we leave the kids have gotten in the habit of waving good bye to Disney and then immediately saying when are we coming back!!

Traditions:
Pre- Trip: Countdown Disney Themed Dinners-100 day, 50 day & 25 Day:thumbsup2

Tink gifts- even though my girls are now teens

Matching Color or DISign Shirts...yes, even my teens do it ;)

Each child picks a day, a park an ADR and we celebrate their birthday :goodvibes

We shop one day and one day only in DTD, this cuts out wasting our time going in the shops.

Sci-Fi lunch (I just recently said why don't we skip Sci-Fi this year and there was an outright REVOLT :lmao: )

First Day- MK Small World ride first (because it is the one ride we ALL love)

Last Day- Chef Mickeys (so we can say goodbye to the Mouse) MK- light parade/Wishes and last ride is a Small World :cool1:

A happy departure picture with our Limo to take us to the airport :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 and our sad last day picture as we go to the airport to come home:rolleyes1

We always go straight to Casey's at MK first thing, first day.

We always eat at Cosmic Ray's for dinner on the first day out on the balcony and watch Celebrate the Magic. For some reason they cut off the audio for Celebrate the Magic there recently, so that tradition is starting to get changed.

I buy a pin for the year we are there, or the resort we stayed at every single trip. Just one pin.

Our traditions start with our travel, we leave from Juneau in the afternoon and always look forward to dinner in the Seattle airport at Anthony’s before taking the red eye to Orlando. Our first and last days are spent at Blizzard Beach, :cool1: weather permitting. After that long over night flight getting into the lazy river is amazing. Pick a pearl in Japan and too much shopping there as well. Pirates is the first ride in MK. Frozen Chi in the Animal Kingdom! :drinking1 We always order flowers to the room through Disney Florist it ads such a special touch. Fireworks on the last night and getting stuck at least once on Spaceship Earth.

Magic Kingdom is always our first and last park of the trip. We always start our trip with the Haunted Mansion as our first ride and we always grab some Disney treat(s) to enjoy on the plane before we leave our last day. That way it seems like the vacation is extended just a little bit longer.

Also, the DW always ends up sleeping during the ME ride back to the airport. I suspect she does this to avoid the tears from the trip being over!

So many!

We stop for breakfast at the same chick fil a in SC on the drive down from NC. Gas up at same station in GA. Take pics of the welcome to Florida sign on 95. Potty break at big FL rest area....

Always gotta eat at Boma.

First ride at MK is Splash!

Always buy a pin and a hoodie to commemorate trip.

Have to touch the monorail.

First ride at Epcot is Soarin'.

Have to have a tollhouse cookie sandwich at MK.

Stop at the Georgia state line to put my pistol in the trunk so I don't become a felon.

That's one of my favorites.

My husband and I always take a moment to ourselves in front of the Tower of Terror sign in DHS. Back in 1997, during a Magic Music Days highschool marching band trip he asked me out to be his girlfriend in that exact spot.

We always go to magic kingdom first and eat at Peco's Bill's and i always get a taco salad :)

Let's see… this year we missed a few because I was sick and our park days got screwed up, but...

We always have dinner at a resort restaurant on the first night.
Our first time through the WDW gates on the road, everyone in the car says WOOOO!
Our last time through the gates, we all say "goodbye, Mickey!"
We do a half day where we "eat around the world" in Epcot
We take pictures of the kids around the troll in Norway and someone always sticks a finger in the troll's nose (even though we never suggested it).
We always say "no disco dancing" on several rides.
On the monorail, we say "take your small children by the scruff of the neck…"
We always eat at 50s in DHS.

We eat at Mama Melrose. We consider it our place. We ate there on our honeymoon and sat next to a family with the sweetest, most well-behaved children. We wrote a note telling them how well behaved we found their children and that dessert was on us and asked our waitress to deliver the note after we left. She misunderstood and took it over right then which kind of hurt the anonymity that we were going for, but it was nice to see their reaction. Now whenever we go, we look around and try to find a family dining there with well behaved children and send them a dessert... and just hope they aren't on the dining plan.

We also have to have one night where we get pizza from one of the counter service places at the resort and eat it in the room. Don't really know why, but I love that.:goodvibes

:sick::scared:
We always order a tube of disinfectant sanitary wipes. We wipe the phone ,remote control, the door knobs ,sink & shower knobs, alarm clock etc..
in our room and wash them hands. The last thing we want is catch a virus or bug and have to calling sick to our vacation. Remember your on vacation quality not quantity is important. Get some rest. enjoy what you are doing that moment instead of worrying about what you missed, that's what next trips are for.

Our traditions include...
*buying a Christmas ornament each trip
*making a photo book of the trip and a calendar for the following year
*getting a piña colada slush in Adventureland

The only one I can think of that I always do is buy a stuffed animal in the Emporium at Magic Kingdom at the end of the night (which is usually the first day of every trip). Starting and ending my trip at Magic Kingdom seems like the best way to do it!
