I would love to hear your families unique Disney traditions. We have a few but one is that we always go to DTD get Ghiradelli and then wash our hands at the Basin, we just love the salt and sugar scrubs there (especially DH who usually hates that kind of stuff!). In fact DD asked if we could get DH some basin scrub for Christmas, I considered then said "No, we wouldn't have it to look forward to when we are at DTD!". What are your traditions?

We eat at electric umbrella our last day. On our honeymoon, we ate there and then the next year we did the same. When we took our DD for the first time we ended up at EPCOT on our last day again so now it has become a tradition.

Besides that we literally scream at top of our lungs "BYE NANA" on the Peter Pan ride. :lovestruc

First and last park we go to is Magic Kingdom is our tradition on every trip

1900 Park Fare is our welcome evening dinner :)

Wierd tradition: my dd was barely 3 first trip, and at the potato head by the pin trading store in DTD she had her photo taken...my ds snuck in behind in the photo. Man was she mad...the next two trips we did the exact same thing but didn't tell her, ds and I had it planned. Her posing by Mr Potato head, and ds photo bombing in background!
This trip again, we will do it again....:O) Maybe when they are adults they will still be doing it!

I love hearing all the the traditions. It seems these are the main memories of the trips. :-)

Magic Kingdom is the first and last park, Space Mountain is the first ride, and Crystal Palace breakfast is booked the last MK day. We go to DTD on arrival day so we have a full day at the parks the next day!

What a great thread! There are a lot of traditions that we have down at Disney. I mainly go to Disney with my aunt and my cousin (who is a cast member). If we're at MK, we usually wrap up the night with bakery treats on a cafe table by the "dance studio" in that alcove on Main Street. A great, relaxing tradition that I love.

We also enjoy asking the Disney Characters random things to see how in character they remain. It's entertaining. I personally think the characters love when adults interact with them. In May 2012, we went around asking all of Princesses plus Naveen and Aladdin as they were with their respective Princess what they thought "YOLO" meant. Hilarious results ensued!

We always go straight to MK - first thing is always a Caseys hotdog, and then we run round to POTC - always the first ride!!:wave2:

Our traditions vary according to which park we're in. We always manage to get to downtown Disney to shop, try to have one lunch (at least) at Earl of Sandwich, and get our chocolates to send home to family and then ice cream at Ghirardelli and sit by the water and eat that and people watch. Love soaking up the Disney atmosphere.
We always do the rides/attractions in the same order at Magic Kingdom and always do Epcot the same way. We manage to finish up Future World in time to go to the U.K. fish and chips place for lunch and then over to American Adventure. It may sound like being in a rut to some people, but we've done it for years and it works for us.
There's something comforting in arriving at the parks and knowing what you're going to enjoy. There's always time to people watch and if we happen to be at Epcot when it's time for ice cream, we sit and watch the fountain. I'm hoping we can enjoy those traditions one more time in May.

Traditions:
Pre- Trip: Countdown Disney Themed Dinners-100 day, 50 day & 25 Day:thumbsup2

Tink gifts- even though my girls are now teens

Matching Color or DISign Shirts...yes, even my teens do it ;)

Each child picks a day, a park an ADR and we celebrate their birthday :goodvibes

We shop one day and one day only in DTD, this cuts out wasting our time going in the shops.

Sci-Fi lunch (I just recently said why don't we skip Sci-Fi this year and there was an outright REVOLT :lmao: )

First Day- MK Small World ride first (because it is the one ride we ALL love)

Last Day- Chef Mickeys (so we can say goodbye to the Mouse) MK- light parade/Wishes and last ride is a Small World :cool1:

A happy departure picture with our Limo to take us to the airport :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 and our sad last day picture as we go to the airport to come home:rolleyes1

Epcot is always the first park!

Embarrassing me in front of the Norwegian guys in the Norway Pavilion.

"Wheelchair Bowling" - my mother had a bad ankle injury and uses a wheelchair occasionally when there will be lots of walking involved. Only in Disney does my father let go of her at the top of slopes and run after her as she's screaming. It sounds SO mean, but the looks are priceless. He'll always be there to catch her.

And the last many trips, we always make it a point to go to the Crystal Palace character breakfast. So much fun!

I'm getting so many ideas for fun traditions for my future family :)

We always hit the four rides we first went on as newbies to WDW. I never visited the world as a child... my first trip was in my early 40's. It was magical and still is....

Peter Pan
Small World
Haunted Mansion
Pirates

Then, always off to Mexico Pavilion to San Angel Inn dinner and Three Caballeros ride.
Missing it!

On arrival day we always go to DTD.
MK is our first park day with the Jungle Cruise as our first ride.
At some point on the first day we have a meal at CRT.
Our last day is Epcot trying out last minute foods in the World Showcase.

Our upcoming trip will be our first with DD. I can't wait to see what new traditions work their way in :)

We always play the Mickey Mouse March song the first time we drive through the gate to get on property.

First park is always Magic Kingdom, and then our first meal is always the Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House :) love it!

Our final meal of every trip is the 'Ohana character breakfast. Such a great way to say goodbye to Disney before getting in the car and driving back home.
