I hadn't heard the speculation that this could be a permanent removal/relocation. Makes sense, though. I love it but the crowds are really intense and if I were staying there, I'd be quite frustrated. Impacts the monorail as well, which already has "extra" traffic now with the Poly Tower. Would be great if they could relocate the gingerbread house somewhere. I adore Animal Kingdom Lodge but it's harder to get to and can't park without a dining reservation ... not sure they'd do the same business as at Grand FL. Maybe somewhere in Disney Springs?

They're in the process of ripping out the old carpet, demolishing some existing structures, and building a brand new birdcage bar. How in the world can they install a gingerbread house in the thick of construction?

It will come back in one form or another. You'll be able to purchase holiday cookies and holiday cocktails in the same lobby.

Bet it doesn't come back at all. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I believe if anything returns. it will be a little stand to sell the goodies...whatever is cheapest and makes the most profit. :/ That has become the Disney way.

If they do that, the sales will drop. Many people are not going to go all the way to the G-Flo for a cookie or overpriced cake pop without a gingerbread house to photograph.

Very true. Absolutely. I sure wouldn't.

Right, that is the whole point of it.
