Does anyone get this for an unexplainable reason?

I would say this is day 5 or 6 where I just do not feel right. I wake up felling more tired, and by midday I have a fever. Nothing outrageously high, but enough to make me feel ill and have chills. So far nothing else has come of it, no coughing or earache. Nothing I can explain..

First time in my life for this, and I find it odd. I do not want to rush to the Dr. but I guess in a few days I will..

So wondered who else might have had the same experience. popcorn::

When I have pushed myself too far, it's my body's way of saying STOP!

If I ignore it, I will then get a sore throat or an ear ache. I then get knocked on my butt.

My son has a medical condition where at times fevers sort of "pop up." (long explanation)

The docs say that a fever is often the sign of inflamation in the body. It doesn't always have to accompany a virus or a bacterial infection.

If it keeps happening...I would make an appt. with the doc. While fevers are not always dangerous...they shouldn't be a daily thing.

Hope you feel better honey!

This happened to me in August, 2 days after we got home from a 10 or 11 day WDW trip.

I ended up with a fever (100-101.6 degrees) for 2 straight weeks...then had it on and off for the 3rd week. I had no other symptoms except EXTREME fatigue & I think a headache.

After running tests & bloodwork, it turns out that I did really have something..but the doctor does not know what. My liver enzymes were not right according to the bloodwork. Then I was sent for an ultrasound which showed an enlarged spleen. I just had to see a hematologist about that last week. I feel fine now, so my only instructions were to have bloodwork done again in about 3 weeks.

I had never felt so sick in my life & I hope I never have to go thru that again.

every time I see you post I get one :woohoo:

This happened to me a few months ago, but with me it was because I'm pregnant. I don't think it's a very common pregnancy symptom at all, though.

Maybe your body knows the season is changing. I have a friend who gets sick at every equinox.

This is how I felt that lead to my diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I would call your doctor for a check asap. All unexplained fevers should be checked.

Pregnancy :scared1: . Congratulations to you on yours :goodvibes . Maybe it is the change of seasons. It certainly feels like fall today.

I think I will be calling in today. I have fibro and Sjogren's. I never thought it was that, but maybe it is. I will call my Dr.

Thank you everyone on your thoughts.:grouphug:

DDs had something like this last year. The doctor said it was a virus, and it went away in about a week.

Hope you are feeling better, soon.

When my sinus's are bothering me, fever, headache, and tired are good signs. I don't always have the running nosey or stuffyness just the fever, headache and exhausted.

I had been running a low grade fever for two months this winter. As someone who normally has a temperature on the low side, I was a little alarmed by my 99.6 - 100.4 fever. It wouldn't go away, and I always had body aches, and I just wanted to sleep.

After an appointment with my doctor, who ran some run of the mill tests and came up empty, he sent me to some infectious diseases specialist to see if they could come up with an "out of the box" reason that this was going on.

The infectious disease doctor told me that a temperature of 100 is not a fever and that there was nothing wrong with me, since that and my body aches were my only symptoms.

So I never found my answer, but I'm hoping you'll find your answer. And then come back and let us know what that answer is!!

This happened to me before too:scared1: I was in my early 20's when it started. Back then I didn't have insurance so I was limited on who would see me. My low grade fever lasted for 9 months and suddenly went away. I thought I was going cuckoo because everybody kept telling me anything under 100 degrees was not a fever. Well I feel like he**. I just tried to live as best I could while it was happening.

Fast forwarding through the years I have had this happen on and off the last 20 years about 4 different times each lasting an average of 4 months and I'm still perplexed.

I'll tell you what though, I have insurance now, not great by any means, but I'll try to find my "Dr. House" If need be.

I hope someone has a clue for you. I know how miserable you must be.

Take care K?
