Understanding Disney's reasons behind FP+ and hopper passes

The biggest frustration for us was at Animal Kingdom and Epcot, both of which have VERY limited rides that are FP+ worthy. (in our opinion) So you are at the park in the morning, and there are maybe two attractions that really justify FP+... you book them, and you end up having to find some other low ranking attraction just to use up your FP+'s before heading to another park... just frustrating.

If you ONLY want two FP+ in park one (then hop to another...)
Before you use the first FP that day, CANCEL your third FP before you use the first one.

Then, just use the other two like normal.

You can then book your "4th" FP for any attraction... at the same park, or hop to an other park and book the "4th" one there.

I just wish you could book your 4th FP+ at without having to physically be in that park (or use a kiosk, for that matter). The lines for kiosks often negate the advantage of a FP anyway. We used CL CMs when we had them last time but honestly they weren't really able to get us anything good after 12pm or so. I would rather have a free paper any use FP tossed at us for staying CL if we did that again.

I may have to try this. This is our first trip under FP+, and we are complete rope drop people.

It worked awesome for our trip last year.

We found no need to have FP+ booked for the morning. It was sure nice to have 3 FP+ for the 2nd park after a mid day break.

Have a great trip!!

Yeah, the reason is that it is all too easy to intend to hop to a different park and then not do it. Then you have taken up an FP spot from someone who was there and could have used it. Granted, there is still no guarantee that even if you are in the park that you will make your appointed window, but it's more likely than if you have to navigate the transportation system

Thanks Robo! Dang, wish I would have known that last week. :) Oh well, wasn't the end of the world I guess. :)

I'd be happy if there was a magical 4th FP+ Mickey touch point.
"Tap here, and a random 4th FP+ will be assigned to your group. If you don't like the random selection, feel free to change it on your phone."
I really don't need to wait for multiple, clueless guests attempting to book their first 3 FP+ at 3pm.

I also want FP+ reservation for multiple parks, prior to visiting. However, it would obviously put even more strain on headliner attractions. Consider Epcot. There are only two headliners. Soarin and Test Track. If you were allowed to pre-book a third FP+ at another park, it's almost guaranteed that you are going to choose another headliner at that other park... putting even more stress on that rides capacity.

I don't like the current system at all, but I get it.

I'm having this trouble at DHS. We want to go to DHS one evening to see the Osborne Lights once more so of course we can book FP+. I'm not a fan of ToT so it's hard to pick things that are worthwhile.
