A heads up for Epcot visitors, we went to Epcot on July 4th and saw the new Film Festival. This is a fantastic new addition! We had such a great time watching the 4D films. They really did a fabulous job. I highly recommend this attraction, especially since there was no wait!

I agree. We happened in there one day in June. The show was great. We said we should see it again another day, but we didn't make it back!

I agree. I thought it was going to a big time waste, but boy did we enjoy it! We'd already seen Get a HOrse but it was so much better in the 4D!

I enjoyed it too. Is it the same 3 movies it's been? When it started I was thinking they'd plan to change them around but each time I bother to check it's the same ones.

Allright, I feel like I just crawled out of a dungeon in which I'd been chained for years...
What is this, where is this, and is it only on during summer, or do ya think they will continue "it" through Christmas?
TIA
The Disney & Pixar Short Films is an attraction located next to Imagination with Figment, where you will view three short films. All three of them are great in their own way. It'll be there indefinitely. Here's the link of the Disney site:

Thank you all! Just when I thought I was utd on all things WDW, something comes from nowhere and slaps me! Have to put it in one of my Epcot days!

Yes, it replaced Captain EO. I can't imagine it's going to be permanent, but I'd bet they continue it for a while. It's fun and is a nice relaxing break from the heat. They show 3 short films, about 5-7 minutes in length each. Even the waiting area is neat because they show a video with the history of Pixar and their short films.

The shorts they show are: Get a Horse which has Mickey, Minnie and Pete as the main stars. Luna (which I thought was only so-so) and I forget the name of the third one but it's about birds on a telephone or power line. It's pretty funny.

Thanks! We will put this on our list for our upcoming trip. I really enjoyed seeing the short, Piper, before the movie Finding Dory. Since you commented there was not a wait I am assuming I don't have to use a FP for this!! Lol!!

We almost skipped this on our May visit. Gladly, we had plenty of time and dropped in. Its a must do for sure. The B&W Mickey is just amazing.

Actually, while it usually doesn't "need" a FP+, it is often one of the main choices for a "3rd" FP+ at Epcot,
due to the unfortunate FP "tiering system" at that park.

I did have a tough time picking that third FP (2nd FP for MS)... Currently I have turtle talk , but after reading this thread I'm putting this on our list. Would it be better to use the 3rd FP for Turtle talk or the Pixar short? Thanks!!

Good call, OP. We did it on our early June trip and it was fun. I expected it to feel a lot more like a filler attraction until they decide what to do with the space, but we really enjoyed it. And judging by the spontaneous audience applause at the end, everyone else did, too.
