Just one question so far... Who did you sweet talk to get your kaki gori in a dish instead of those flimsy paper cones that melt?! Soooo jealous!

OK, I'm such a big sap. Your video of the CM welcoming you aboard made me tear up and I don't even know you. LOL

You get those special cups after you buy 1,000 or more Kaki Gori's..and we passed that goal years ago.:rotfl:

It brings a tear to my eyes as well. But then i'm just a romantic, sentimental dude. (chics dig that):cool2:

SATURDAY SAILAWAY DAY..CONTINUED..

We alway head right over to Parrot Cay for lunch as soon as we get onboard. It was there we first met some officer named Pierre. Robin seemed smitten with him right away and we kept running into him the entire cruise. I'm not sure what it is about those uniforms that makes the chics weak in the knee's ( or maybe it was his French accent) but they sure do make it tough for us "average dudes" to keep the ladies looking our way. Good thing i have my trusty "scar". That always seems to grab the ladies attention.pirate:

Parrot Cay lunch. (boy Robin has a lot of desserts there.;)

The Dis has always ben a great place to "meet up" with fellow cruisers prior to the cruise and it sure makes the time between cruises go faster.:wizard: we had arranged for a Parley Dis meet on cruise day and the turnout was great. A quick first meeting with the folks we'd been chatting with for nearly 2 years..Its always fun during the course of the cruise to see a friendly face everytime you turn the corner. Being the shy guy i am ;) i maintained my low profile whenever possible though.:rolleyes1

As we sailed away we rolled out the Canadian flag that Nancy had bought in tribute to everyones favorite travel agent and great friends Cass and Rob (thats you Cass);) We missed them terribly on this cruise and are very hopeful they'll be with us on the next one for sure!:grouphug:

Time to Magnet up! We usually put a tablet on the door in case chics want to leave a message for me..or their cabin number.;) (just kidding Robin)

DSC01193.jpg

Now cabin choice has really never been a problem for us. we rarely spend time in the cabin anyway so we just kind of have the attitude "get us on that ship!"
Several times we grabbed a GTY cabin and have received upgrades. One time even got a porthole. Rumor had it this cruise wasnt sold out so we thought perhaps we'd get upgraded since we had booked this cruise very early but alas, it was not meant to be. We were very happy with our cabin and as i said, we're usually not in there very much anyway.

Late dining...now thats a whole different subject. The girls wanted to have late dining (much to my dismay) because they wanted to be able to see the sunsets. Let the record show that we didnt go out to see a sunset all week.:headache:
But seriously, who eats dinner at 8:30 at night? By the time you finish dessert its nearly 10:00..But being the team player i am ;) i went along with it. Our servers were Putu and Mugu and they were a lot of fun. We always try as much as possible to joke around with the servers and its makes for a more relaxed dining experience. I always let them know early on that i''m a "steak and fries" kind of guy. none of that fancy stuff for me and under NO circumstances do i want any of my food touching on the plate! I'd be happy if they'd just bring me out those divided plates for every meal!
dclplate.jpg

I was saddened a few cruises ago when i found out they'd taken off the steak as an alternate choce on the menus but quickly found that all i had to do was ask early on and sure enough i'd get my nightly steak and fries. No surprises right Chuck?:thumbsup2 Not like the Gnocchi disaster the girls had later in the cruise. (more on that later).:rotfl:

We had prety much decided in advance that we wernt going to see many of the shows this cruise. They are always great but we've seen them a few times and we'd rather spend the quiet time exploring the ship or take romantic walks in the moon light. (wink wink)its a curse i tell ya.
We'd also decided (due to some difficulties i've had since my heart surgery) that it wouldnt be wise to explore any excursions. We figured we'd be better off staying closer to the ship..Especially since Robin forgot to get the trip insurance.(hahahahha)

Two of my favourite people

Also joining us were several great friends we've met on previous cruises and trips, Chuck and Nancy from WI, Heather and her neice Wendy from the UK, Becky, Sean and Sarah for CA, Kathy from NJ as well as many more "new characters we met on our Dis "Parley" cruise thread.:grouphug:

A really great group of friends

Now Robin had delegated just 2 jobs for me in advance of our sailing. One was i buy an extra power strip for use on the ship. (which i forgot about by the way.;)), but more importantly that i purchase the trip insurance. While i've never been a fan of purchasing the trip insurance ( to me they're selling fear;)), but i totally understand the need for it because i myself have had 2 heart surgeries in the past so you never know what might happen and its best to be safe.:upsidedow
Well we had just taken a WDW family vacation about 3 1/2 months prior to this cruise and it was my intention to check on cruise trip insurance as soon as we got back from that trip..(We'd still be within the 90 period that you're still able purchase insurance). But after getting back from WDW i just kind of forgot about it.:rolleyes1:guilty: So as the time got closer to cruise, i just ignored the situation hoping Robin would mention it.popcorn::
Sure enough , the day before we left she says to me, "wheres the paperwork for the trip insurance?":scared: There must have been an unbelievable amount of panic on my face because she right away said "YOU DIDNT GET THE INSURANCE??".:upsidedow
I tried to turn it into a running joke all week on the cruise.."see? now we have extra money to buy stuff".:rotfl: "we dont need no stinking trip insurance".:rotfl: But it was a sensitive subject and i'll wager i wont be in charge of that detail for any future cruises.:rolleyes1

Can I just add that I didn't find that at all funny :eek::mad:
