Undercover Tourist tickets

Looking at purchasing promo tickets from Undercover Tourist. I've already verified the blackout dates are ok with our trip dates. But a few questions:

1. It says the tickets will be emailed to me. Do I just present a print out at the gate? Or will I need to stop at guest services to swap them for plastic tickets?

2. Can I purchase Max Pass as well? If yes, how and when can I do that? I assume there is a way to link the tickets through the app?

3. Any other disadvantages to buying tickets through Undercover Tourist? We have used them for WDW before, but just not sure if there's anything else to consider for DL.

You can print out the ticket or load it into your app. There is no "plastic ticket" – but one will print at the turnstile. You can use that or your app interchangeably.

You can purchase MaxPass once you've linked the ticket into your app AND entered through the turnstile.

Thanks @FCDub . Since you can't purchase MaxPass until you've entered the park, is this a disadvantage? If I purchase my tickets through Disney, can I pre-book them before my trip? Its a savings of almost $300, so trying to gauge whether its worth that. Thanks!

You cannot prebook fastpasses at Disney.

However, I am debating buying tickets through Disney or last minute travel club (neither ut or dl promotions for our dates). My reasoning is maxpass price is probably going up. How much is the question... Our trip is in November.

Disney also has a promotion going. Did it fit your dates?

The only disadvantage is it will take you 90 seconds to 2 minutes to buy Maxpass once you enter the turnstile vs. it activating when you enter (if you've purchased from Disney and pre-bought Maxpass)

I had a similar debate, i.e. buying direct from Disney with Maxpass included at full price, or buying through a reseller - I used LMT club which were by far the cheapest for my dates - and paying for Maxpass day by day. Went with LMT club and it’s working out really well so far for me:

- I saved $50/ticket (5 day park hopper) buying from LMT club vs buying directly from Disney.
- They emailed me a voucher which I scanned using my phone into my DL app. On initial entry they gave me a paper card sized ticket, which I haven’t yet used as I’ve just been using the linked tickets in my DL app for entry.
- Maxpass is super easy to buy if you already have a card linked to the app. I just needed to put in the last 3 digits on the back when buying it. Took about a minute to do each morning.
- I bought Maxpass for all of us the first couple of days. After yesterday I realised that we’d been on most of the major rides enough times that we didn’t really need Maxpass anymore, and that the rest of the rides we wanted to do were things like PoTC, Alice, Peter Pan, Mark Twain, etc that don’t have fastpass. And that if I wanted to do things like Incredicoaster I could just use single rider. So today I just bought a single Maxpass instead of multiple Maxpasses that we wouldn’t be using.

As others have pointed out here though the possible advantage of buying direct from Disney with Maxpass included would be if the price of Maxpass goes up, especially if your trip is far ahead in the future...
