undercover tourist tickets to annual pass?

Hi folks,

I did a search for this and came up blank, so I hope this isn't a repeat...

I have some tix that I bought on Undercover Tourist a few years ago - 4-day p.h. + - and one option I've got for our September 2019 trip is to use them for our park entry. I've got them tied to my 'MDE' account and assigned to my dw and I, who will be making the trip. But I'm strongly considering upgrading our tix to AP's this time around, given all the great stuff coming in the next year. Will WDW allow me to apply the price paid for tix on Undercover Tourist to AP's? Or can that be done only with tix bought directly from 'Mecca'?

It's been awhile since I've done it myself, but you should be able to. You usually just can't upgrade comp tickets.

You can do it no problem. We have done it twice now. Also you may get lucky and have them updated to the current gate price and get an even better deal.

I've heard some recent horror stories of cast members giving people a hard time with giving the correct amount of credit towards an AP. Seems Disney has gotten a bit greedy and it spills over to the cast members. I'm looking to do an upgrade to AP but don't want to lose the full value of what I already paid.

Do the upgrade via your MDX account after you have entered a theme park.
The correct upgrade amount seems to be offered by the computer.

I did this just this past March. It was easy to do at Guest Relations at any theme park or Disney Springs. I also used gift cards purchased from Target at a 5% discount to pay for the upgrade. It is helpful to know the value of your ticket and what your dollar amount to upgrade will be.
