Anyone else get the email from UT today? I had a rental car booked through Disney for August for $568 for 6 days. The exact same deal through UT with Disney Car Care center pick-up was only $361. Just switched to that and cancelled car through Disney.

I don't book through Disney, but have been wondering about booking through UT. Did you have to buy any tickets through UT to get the discount on the car rental?

That still seems really high for a 6 day rental (for comparison, I have a mid-sized SUV reserved for 8 days for $245 taxes included, direct with National).

Have you ran your dates with the individual car companies to see how the price compares with your UT booking?

We had priced out a minivan rental with every major national company for our dates and everything was over $600 - this was even with factoring corporate discounts and other codes. Disney came in the cheapest at $568. The UT deal was by far the best.

I had bought tickets from them in 2009, nothing since. I am on their email list and just got the email this morning.

Glad it worked out for you. I priced them last night and they were way way higher than what I got today using a Mastercard discount and my Insiders number. It could be that the rates dropped this morning for Alamo
Double check the Alamo site.. they took a big dip this morning, and you might be able to do better adding a coupon code.

Just got 15 days of a minivan through alamo (insider and visa coupon) for $703.

I did not purchase tickets but had a few years ago. This was an email offer and said no ticket purchase neccessary. Maybe the discount without tickets is just for previous customers?

It was an email, not a newletter, and came yesterday on the 26th.

If you purchase tickets through us you can bundle car rental at a later time. We understand that you may not be ready to rent a car at the exact same time you buy tickets, but we still want to offer deals as long as you qualify by buying tickets too.
