Under what criteria would you do a non-expiring ticket?

We have a 6-day with plus option for our trip. I understand you can add the non-expiring option later. I figured if we have at least 2 days left or 2 pluses we will get non-expiring. Sound about right?

I'd go to allearsnet.com or ticketmania and price it out. It will cost you $60 per ticket to change to non-expiring. Since you plan to return at some point, would you be better off just upgrading to a 10 day non-expire?

We priced (and purchased) 10 parkhopper with no expiration through the mousesavers newsletter link to www.discountorlandovacation.com and found about a $100 difference between a 5 day and a 10 non-expiring park hopper. To us it just made sense (and cents) to go with the 10 day if you can afford it. We will use 5 days on our upcoming May trip and have 5 days left over for a future trip. If you can afford it, this seems like the way to go.

Uses for non-expiring ticket:

1. You have several short trips planned (buy a ten day non-expiring).

2. Due to an emergency you had to leave early.

Sometimes you should add more days when you find you need to add non-expiration. We suggest that if your ticket was originally a 5 or 6 day, you bring it to 7 or 10. If it was originally an 8 or 9, you should bring it to 10. Non-expiration (done after some usage of the ticket) costs $107. for 8, 9, and 10 day tickets while the 9'th and 10'th days cost $4. apiece).

Tell me I'll save time instead of the planet and I'll park the minivan in the garage and hop the bus. Thousands of others will, too. (J.D.M., writer for phillyburbs.com)

Having a non-expire is almost like having trip insurance for us. We don't have to worry about any of the "what ifs" that might come up during our trip. The flexiblity is nice.

Do you mean that we could buy a 5 or 6 day ticket, and then add the extra days for only the difference in price they would have been if we had bought more days in the first place? (I understand that we would have to pay the non-expiration price for the total number of days, not just the unused ones.)
