...washed DD's UnderArmour and used fabric softener? Is the material ruined? :(

Ummm - you put it in her room, and dont tell her.

Not that I know this from experience or anything. :rolleyes1

"Ordinary detergents leave behind a residue in the form of a scent, brightener and fabric softener. This residue in a high-performance fabric enables water to get trapped. Bacteria can grow in both the residue, and the water, which causes the fabric to stink. Additionally, fabrics wick, breathe better, and dry faster when free of chemical residue."

"Just don't let your wife put them in the wash with fabric softener because they end-up feeling like Saran Wrap."

The results from a quick Google search.

DH's always ends up in the loads of wash with fabric softener. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the help everyone! I continued to search on Google and on ANOTHER message board, someone said just to rewash the UnderArmour without any softener. I will do that.

Softball season starts at the end of March here in southern PA. It can still be snowing then! UnderArmour is really a Godsend! ::yes::

Yikes, learn something new everyday. DS has several pieces of UnderArmour and I use fabric softener all the time....:rolleyes1 Shhhhhh don't tell him.

I'll wash them separately from here on out, I had no idea it could cause trouble or increase odor, goodness knows with a 17 yr. old male we wouldn't want to do that:scared:

I just did that! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Worked out in it and didn't feel any different. I better re-wash them just to be safe! On the plus side...they do smell Spring Time Fresh! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm sure it's not ruined with one washing. I would just rewash and not worry too much about it. Additionally, I would follow CathrynRose's advice, lol.

What the heck is Under Armour?

I'm thinking a modern day chastity belt?
