I'm still waiting for the Eurostar to become available for our dates end Nov/start Dec but was wondering what would be best.
We will have our 18 month old son who I know will not get his own seat. Would it be more comfortable to ask for seats around a table or just 2 seats side by side. Also does anyone know which carriage is most likely to have space if there is any so son could have a seat if one was available.

How many of you are travelling? We have always been quite lucky in that there have been spare seats around us so we have been able to spread out.

We book quite late on and don't specify seats so we end up sitting on one of the last carriages. It seems from walking though that carriages nearest the buffet car seem to be more full.

I can't help with the table seats as I have never sat on one before, but I imagine if you do end up with your 18month old on your lap for the whole journey it may be a bit more uncomfortable.

If you book early enough will you normally have your pick of the seats. If you request a table seat there will be a high probability that the other seats around the table will be empty. If you book on-line you can choose your seats and change your mind as often as you like.

There will be 2 adults plus our 18 month old son. I was just wondering if 2 normal seats would have as much room/be as comfortable or if getting seats at a table would mean more room.
I also wondered if we booked the seats as soon as they became available and booked table seats we might be lucky and no one would want the other seats around our table meaning our 18 month old could have one. I don't think it will be that busy we are going November 30th to 5th December.

I booked table seats in the hope of one seat being free but alas someone did book on the same table seat. It wasnt all bad though, im pretty sure the table seats seemed to be a bit more roomy compared to our first trip in which we had normal seats but with a pull down tray type thingy like u get on planes, im over 6ft tall and i remember being cramped with my 6 month baby on my lap.

We've not booked a table seat this time, I can't have dd sat on my between me and a tsble IF the train got fully booked! We've booked seats at the end of a carriage next to luggage racks, I'd rather her be settled on our laps than squished at a table lol.
