We'll be travelling with 3 16yo girls. Anything in CityWalk for them? They love music and dancing, but all of the clubs are over 21.

Thanks

The clubs are over 21 but CityWalk is a big complex of which the clubs are a small part. There are several shops (and gift shops attached to the restaurants) if they like doing that sort of thing, there are a number of carnival games in the complex and places to snack like TCBY and Starbucks. Hard Rock Cafe, NBA City, Bubba Gumps, Nascar Cafe, Pastamore and Marguaritaville and the restaurant at Pat O'Brien's are good for all ages and on weekends we have concerts on the Plaza Stage from 6:30 until 10:45 (weather permitting).

Thanks. I'm sure they'll find something to do. We are going next weekend, and since US closes at 7, I was hoping for something to keep them occupied.

Go to CityJazz. It is a club in Citywalk that is 18 and older, not 21 and older.
Schedule:
Monday - Karaoke (funny)
Tuesday& Wednesday - Rock/Reggae Band
Thursday - Saturday - Comedians
Sunday - Hypnotist

**Band plays after comedians and hypnotist.

I hear a teen night advertised on the radio all the time at one of the CityWalk clubs. I think it is on Friday nights. I can't remember which club it is though. :confused3

Yes I think at least one maybe more of the clubs have teen nights or teen times, probably should just check with all of them or someone that has the info for all activities at citywalk. Margaritavilles is for all families, that is the spot to go probably, I don't think they have restrictions on anyone being in there, under 21 just can't drink. When I was there last I remember seeing all ages. That is my spot and I'm over 21.

It's best to just stay with the kids and go to Margaritaville.
In our case, we showed up around 8pm (peak time) and had to wait half an hour. They gave us a beeper and we walked around taking pictures and the girls went into the shops while I got a drink.
Then we went into the restaurant, the food was awesome, the girls liked the atmosphere, even if they didn't have a clue who Jimmy Buffett is. I let the daughter take a sip of my real margarita. And then afterwards I got a slushie drink outside the restaurant and let her take a sip of that. By the time we got back to the room, everyone was exhausted and we went to bed.
I wouldn't worry about splitting up and letting the kids go on their own. They can do that during the day at the parks. But for the evening, just go to a restaurant together and that will be plenty.

Fan2CSkr: Thanks. This is what we were looking for. We (the adults) are going to Emerils for dinner on Friday the 24th, so this will be perfect. My daughter is a vegetarian, so I didn't want to go there with her (too much to spend on a ceasar salad, not worth the aggrevation of "there's nothing here I can eat"), and they can enjoy themselves and meet us after dinner. All of the other nights we will eat together, but not on Friday.

One week to go!!! :sunny:
