Hi guys, have you heard about the new offer Under 12 stay play AND travel for free?! Sounds like a great saving to take advantage of, but the website isn't working properly to book online to get a proper quote with travel.
I'm thinking about going in feb half term, but i know it will be busy, has anyone been in feb half term, if so what is it like and how's the weather etc?
I'd be grateful for your wonderful advice!

We went Feb half term last year and it wasn't busy. The only times we noticed the crowds were at the weekend.

We are hoping to book very soon for Feb half term too.:goodvibes

It was pretty cold but some days were bright sunshine and we didn't even need our coats. But the year before we went end Jan/beginning Feb and it was totally freezing!:scared1:

Thanks for that Leanne, I'm glad to hear it wasn't too busy as I'm not a fan of crowds! We went in June this year and i thought the queues were reasonable. Do you think it's because of the weather that people don't tend to go during the half term? And does anyone know if the other scools in neighbouring countries are on holiday the same week?
Thanks again

I'm not sure about different countries holiday's but i know it varies this Feb in the UK. Mine are off from Friday 8th Feb but some kids don't have that week they have the following week.
I don't think there are any French holidays around that time.:goodvibes

We were pleasantly surprised by the crowds and the queue times were very low avoiding the weekends. Weekends are busy all year round.:scared1:

I would imagine the weather may play a part but if you dress accordingly then you won't have a problem. Its pretty much like our Feb weather here. A great time to go in my opinion, i couldn't imagine going at a crowded time!

Kids Go Free runs every year between January and March plus there are usually specific weeks during the period where get an extra day and night free can be combined too.

Free travel is via Eurostar and also some airlines. :)

:cheer2: We're also due to go at half term but are going on the 11th Feb for half term. :cheer2: Was a bit worried as I wasn't sure what the crowds would be like. Its rained every time we've been to DLP in the past so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for cold but dry!!!:thumbsup2

I think it rained the day we arrived for an hour or so and i don't remember any other rain.:thumbsup2 But it was fun riding on BTMR in the rain!!
We were hoping to go on the 11th too but no standard class left on the Eurostar only first class and i'm not made of money.:rolleyes1

So we are now considering the 12th Feb. Hoping to book very very soon.

We're actually travelling down on the 11th and our first day in the park is the 12th! Booked to go on Eurostar with the car as the ferry journey last time was a nightmare! I spent most of the time becoming reacquainted with my lunch while DH, DS and DD all thought it was a pleasant journey!;)

You sound like me!! I felt very queasy on the ferry last year. If we can't get the Eurostar we will be going via the eurotunnel too.:goodvibes

So excited, just want to get it booked now.:thumbsup2

Hi, if you look at the 'Very Useful Info' sticky there are links to the European school holiday dates in there!

Thanks again, my son is off from the 15th of Feb so hmm?
I don't know what to do, I really really really REALLY want to go again, but Legoland might just be cheaper lol, *sigh* It's just not the same though is it lol, no :wizard: or:love: or::MickeyMo or:tinker:
Maybe April half term has anyone been then?

Isn't April half term Easter though? ie holidays all over Europe?

I was at DLRP for the first time at half term midweek in February this year (around the 20th as I recall) - and was pleasantly surprised that the queues weren't large, at least for most of the morning. We did leave Fantasyland before noon each day, as it did get very busy there in the afternoons. But the studios were fine.
The weather was surprisingly good too - it drizzled for about an hour one morning, but the rest of the time we had wore fleeces in the mornings, and they were off by lunchtime each day. We had quite a lot of sun too.

If its the queues you're concerned with, I'd go for half-term February over Easter holidays, as it will be quieter then.

We're going for February half term too. I canNOT wait!!!! We've been to Orlando twice and I need a Disney fix. We're travelling by Eurostar from London to Paris as the direct to Disney prices were way out of my budget. I can't wait to surprise DH and the kids on Christmas morning with this news. Yes, I am a cheapskate. :lmao: In order to justify this trip I'm using it as all their christmas pressies (well the kids will get something else too but nothing huge). I'd rather spend the money on a Disney trip than electronic gadgets they'll get sick of. Can't wait!!!

I don't think you are a cheapskate at all. What a wonderful gift for them all. You can't buy those sort of memories.:goodvibes
You are completely right, you could go out and buy loads of presents but after a couple of months they aren't used anymore.:confused3

Good for you.:thumbsup2

Have to agree with you there. If your kids are anything like mine they;d be moaning by midday at Christmas where as we still talk about our trips to DLP and DD just loves to sit and watch the DVDs we've made of the trips.

Can't wait to go now!!:cheer2:
