Between Sunday School and Youth Group my DD has 6 wonderful teachers. I'd like to get them something between $5 & $10 just to let them know we really appreciate them. Any ideas?
This Sunday school director has a wicked sweet tooth if you happen to be a baking sort.
I only have one family that gives me anything (which is fine, I mean, I'm doing my job and getting paid for it and all) and it is usually a $5-10 gift card to the bookstore. That is a nice extra.
I will say though, a heartfelt note from your daughter (or you) about how much they mean to you would also be wonderful. I have gotten a couple through the years and they mean so much to me!
We are doing gas cards for our ss teachers. it seems everyone is taking that financial hit, and i know that they will be used. i'd like the starbucks, too, though.
For our Church gifts - I always try to find a nice Christmas cross ornament. I figure it can easily go on their tree and is a nice religious thank you.
If they are young, iTunes gift cards are great. You can get them in $10 denominations and right now there are a lot of discounts - i.e., get $10 back when you buy $50.
I got 18 of the Go Fish! Christmas CD's. It's $15 for the first and then $5 for each one after that.
Then I got whisks at the $1 store. Filled them with a few Hershey's kisses. Wrapped them in plastic wrap. Tied a ribbon around the CD and tied it to the whisk with a little note "We Whisk You a Merry Kissmass!"
I don't drink coffee either. I get hot chocolate or any number of other things at starbucks. I've attended several different churches over the years (due to moving) and for some reason starbucks is always appreciated.
My DH isnt a coffee drinker either, so unfortunately, none of our kids have gotten him a Starbucks gift card, because I would certainly use it. DH is a Star Wars collector, and kids will often get him something Star Wars related.
I know he would always like a gift card to a local book store. A gas one would probably be pretty awesome as well!
I know that most pastors - youth or adult - would love to receive a gift certificate (number only needed) from ChristianBook.com You pay for it, and the system will give you a gift code number. Then, the pastor can use that code to buy music, books, Bibles, artwork, gifts - what ever they want. My kids love getting CBD certificates!!
Target have gift coins that come in a pack of five and you can load with as little as $5 / card. I got those for the bus drivers, speech/OT teachers, etc.
