We just got back Sunday from Florida. One night we stayed at the AKV and got the DDDP so that we could have two nice meals. The first night we went to Narcoossee's at 9:00. All three of us orderd the surf and turf. The filet mignon was OK(not great) but the lobster was awful. It was so dry that chunks fell out of the tail when I touched it with my fork. My wife had the same problem. My son who is the meat lover had an ok lobster tail which I then ate.The waiter knew the meal was bad, so he didnt bother asking how the food was. My wife and I had eaten there this past summer and loved it, but here we feel we definitely got hosed. The second night we went to The Maya Grill. My food wasnt bad but both my wife and son had a terrible filet mignon, if thats what you call it. Ive had filet mignon on several occasions and it never looked like nor was prepared like these were prepared. My wife told the waitress that the meat was terrible and she had no response. As we were walking out a lady was asking to see the manager to complain about her food. The people that sat next to us left alot of food on their plates also. If I had paid out of pocket for these two meals for my family it would have been $450 dollars. The meal we ate at Chilis the next night for $38 was heads above either of these places. This is making me think long and hard about what dining plan if any to get this summer.Right now the quick service plan is what Im thinking.
