I was looking on ebay for Disney stuff (as you do...) and I saw that some guy was advertising free parking at Disney, so I went to have a look (because who doesn't want free parking?!) and this guy is actually RENTING OUT his annual pass. He even states in the ad that the pass can't be used to get into the park, just for free parking and discounts in the stores and restaurants.

I think its so cheeky, he's sold a whole bunch of them too, he probably doesn't even have to pay for his WDW AP as he gets all his 'renters' to buy it for him...

Anyway, not sure why I posted this, it just annoyed me

Yeah, there was a thread on this subject not that long ago. I wonder if it's the same guy? It's so unethical. :(

oh sorry guys didn't know there had been a thread about this before.

There's a lesson for me, don't spend too much time away from the disboards! :goodvibes

I'm still annoyed at his cheekiness though...

Report it to Ebay, hopefully it will be pulled. Its fraudulant to offer the pass to someone else & making money out of it.

Gosh how Cheeky!!

I'd like to think ebay would pull it, but tbh I don't think they care much, i bought dbf's xmas pressie off of ebay last year, it was pretty pricey and after i paid for it i had hardly any pennies left in my bank.
The seller took my money then about a week later got in touch to say he didn't actually have the item he was selling and would refund me - two weeks later i finally got my money back, and finally had money to buy his pressie somewhere else - though it left very little time to buy another pressie! :sad2:

i reported this to ebay, and oh my gosh - expecting some sort of disciplinary action (since one of the main reasons of ebay is to post / sell something you are actually selling!) they were just like "oh sorry you had trouble, so is that it? any other questions" :scared1:

anyway sorry for going waay off topic! just a rant about ebay sellers genuinely not having any sort of control

That is so wrong:eek:.

When ever I have used my AP for perks such as discounts I have been asked for ID every single time.

I would report it, hopefully they will pull it. Shocking though what some people will do isn't it. :sad2:

Ebay have a very "care free" policy towards problems ;)

I was scammed once (my own fault to a certain extent). I had a look back at my seller and found he'd listed loads of valuable things and basically copied the pictures, words etc of other people's auctions word for word.

I sent loads of examples to ebay and - much like the experience above - they couldn't care less and did absolutely nothing about it :headache:.

Unfortunately, I guess ebay make / lose very little money from buyers who get scammed - it's the genuine sellers who pay their fees etc. that provide ebay with their money. As such, they don't seem to care too much because they've got so many people paying their fees anyway that they don't really care if one person chooses to leave :rolleyes1

i rarely use Ebay these days for that reason !

I've gone right off eBay - it's full of counterfeits and rip-off merchants. The genuine bargains are too hard to find now.

I remember a thread on the dlp boards about someone selling their annual passes. You could actually see the photos and names in the picture!:confused3
