Unable to borrow points online to make a reservation from a resale contract.

I was making an online reservation from my 2020 UY points for December 2020 and I needed to borrow 6 points from my 2021 UY points, normally a simple process, but I got half way through the online booking form and then kept getting the dwarves. So, thinking it was a the usual temporary glitch, I kept on trying for 30 minutes with no luck, so I called MS (20 minute wait).

The CM informed me that since they introduced new 50% borrowing restrictions, members with resale contracts are unable to make reservations with borrowed points online and will need to call MS to make the booking. He made my reservation for me, no problem.

He said it was a glitch in the online booking system and MS were aware of it, but was unsure if , or when, it would be fixed.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yes, I had the same problem a month ago while booking. Called MS and they were and to book for me, although, the young woman assisting me even had a little difficulty.

It's a known issue, and has been for months. I find it hard to believe they can't fix it.

It does seem to be member dependent because I have been able to borrow off of all of my contracts.

Some are direct points, some resale points bought prior to the borrowing limit, and new resale points added in August.

I am not sure why it works for some and not others.
