Ummm, are we too large for Astro Orbitor?

My wife and I went on this on our first trip. I'm 6 feet and 180 pounds. She is 5'7 and 130 pounds. I was very uncomfortable, especially on the knees. I'd say it's a little worse than 7 Dwarfs Mine Train.

I wouldn't waste my time on this ride. After many DW visits, my grandkids convinced me to ride it with them last trip. Even though it was first thing in the morning and the line was short, it seemed to take forever for a 1:30 ride. I did it once to say I did, but I was very under whelmed!

I am much larger than you and fit fine with my daughter, but my 6 foot 180b husband found it uncomfortable even though he fit. Mine Train is way worse.

The seats in 7DMT are terrible. I've always thought it's a kid ride, and those molded in skinny seats further confirm that.

Maybe your DH has a longer torso and my DH has longer legs? Or it could be that we were riding together. Maybe he could fit alone.
He is all leg - 40" inseam. blah. I went with one kid he went with the other but like I said I don't like that ride.

Yes he needs to ride alone. I am 6'5" and on our honeymoon my wife and I tried to ride it. We didn't fit. On the same ride was another couple, the man was probably 6'7" or 6'8". He didn't fit either with his wife. All the cars were full so we were about to just leave without riding when another family added a kid to their car so their would be another one free and me and the other guy rode by ourselves and our wives rode together.

I've been on it since with my daughter at 1 and 2 and it was fine, we will probably fit together until she is 8 or 9.

DH is 6'5" and doesn't fit. He is annoyed that there isn't a height restriction that would keep him (and others) from waiting in line when it isn't possible for someone that tall to sit down in the rockets.

Interesting! My husband is 7'2" and he fit on the ride! He said it was very uncomfortable though and he just barely could squeeze in with our 2 year old.

It does suck though when you have to wait and then don't fit. That happened to use about 10 years ago with Space mountain. My husband and I waited forEVER to get on, and when we finally got there he did not fit. So frustrating! It inspired me to create this shirt for him though for our last trip, lol. All the CMs and characters got a kick out of it!

It's because DH tried to ride with me. 6'5" and 5'8" just doesn't fit together. He didn't try to ride alone because all rockets were full once we figured it out. It just would be nice if CMs would evaluate tall people and suggest they ride alone or risk not fitting.

Last time I rode this, they squeezed me (I was about 130 then but not anymore!), DH who is not small, and our 4YO into one vehicle. We fit, but it felt super-squished. I was TERRIFIED! I felt like we were going to fall out the whole time. I like Rockin Roller Coaster, but I just cannot ride this thing ever again. I do remember feeling like we kind of rolled ourselves out of it at the end.

I'm more Baloo-sized than Pooh-sized these days, and on my recent trip to WDW, I was barely able to fit into the Astro Orbiter solo -- and getting out was an ordeal. Even in my slimmer (but still not slim) days, it wasn't a comfortable ride. For now it's on my skip list, along with 7DMT and Space Mountain.

Funny you should ask. My Ds, Dh and I just tried this at one of the DAH parties. Well let me just say that I am 5. 2 about 185 and my son( 13) is about 5. 10 220 lbs. we thought sure we will ride together when they asked. Needless to say that was the funniest thing we did all night. It was all we could do to get us both in there. No leg room. And then all we could do to get out. But we laughed through the whole thing and made a great memory. Hope this helps. If nothing else you might get a great laugh out of it.
