UK/European airfare deals?

I'm thinking of doing to a trip to the UK and Paris later this year (probably Sept/Oct, leaving from Brisbane). I want to revisit Disneyland Paris. Are there any particular times of the year that have European airfare sales? I'm willing to fly into either London, Paris or some other nearby European city, but would prefer to leave from London on the way home.

I also want to stop in Japan on the way home, to visit Tokyo Disneyland (sensing a theme here ), so an airline that goes via Japan would be ideal.

Europe via Japan is tricky because many carriers have stopped using Asia as a transit base and relocated to the middle east. I can't think of an airline that would allow a stop over in Tokyo unless you specifically booked that leg.... We ended up booking it specifically as a separate leg to get there on the way to Europe last year.

Flight Centre's travel expo is on 21st and 22nd of Feb in Brissy so there may be some deals there. Otherwise keep an eye out for deals but I wouldn't wait too long if you're heading off in Sept. Often the early bird fares are pretty good for Europe. There seems to be more variability in fares to the US.
