UK Community Photo Competition for week ending 12 January - Magic Kingdom VOTING

There were some great pics so this has been a hard decision. I have decided on the following:

1st place - 5 points; Allie5 Christmas Wishes
2nd place - 4 points; Boss hogg I'm watching you
3rd place - 3 points; Night train Train Extremely non-plussed duck
4th place - 2 points; Alan UK Main street fireworks
5th place - 1 point. Tammy Stringer Main street station

Would it not be easier to vote on a poll like they do on the photoary board

It's certainly an option, Jackie. As I said at the start, everything's open for discussion and, if things aren't working out, we can change them. I deliberately avoided polls as I think there are some definite drawbacks.

There were 58 entries in this competition which would require 5 polls. When I've voted in those on the Photoghraphy forum, there have been times when there have been none I've considered worthy of a vote in some polls, but as many as half the entries in another. The winners of each poll go through to a final (in this case it would have to be just the top two from each). In my scenario, you could get 2 terrible photos in the final whilst some really worthy ones don't make it.

If it becomes apparent that voting this way is too cumbersome (i.e. by people not bothering to vote), then we can have a re-think.

My lord it was hard trying to whittle it down to five!

5 points - Night-train - Where is everyone? I liked this because it sums mother and daughter in a deserted Frontierland.
4 points - Strommie - A single rose. I love the Haunted Mansion and the contrast with the red rose is lovely.
3 points - Cazzie - Donald & dancers. Nothing says MK like Donald and a bevy of girls showing off their legs.
