UK Community Photo Competition for week ending 12 January - Magic Kingdom DISCUSSION

My two entries are now up :) there are some brilliant pics everyone, am really enjoying looking at them :thumbsup2

I am very much a point, click and hope for the best sort of girl. I am really enjoying looking at everyone elses though, great competition Deb

Sometimes this produces the best photographs... come on post your photos :goodvibes

ok I'll post a piccie - but as warned I'm no David Bailey

NT, love the duck photo. Clarity and focus is superb. What camera do you use? Does Mrs NT use the same one, as hers are also very clear and sharp?

Thanks for the compliment! The duck shot was taken using full auto settings on my Fuji Finepix S5500. She just happened to be very close to the edge of the pond and was sitting very still so she made my job very easy really. Mrs NT and I would often use the same camera although she has a Fuji Finepix A340 of her own that sees action from time to time. The night shot of the Spectromagic parade was taken on this using the 'sport' setting believe it or not!! Some of my pics get sharpened slightly if I feel the need, using a programme called Irfanview, which was recommended to me by none other than Mr K. Stringer! The pic of the duck isn't one of them!

Never heard of this before, having looked at it though notice it is for PC only and as our photo's are on a Mac no good for us, albeit we've a plug-in to Photoshop which does the same.

Some more good photos on the thread, also really like Tink's shots of MK. A different aspect that you don't often see. Very good.

Have to agree with you about that. I have just spent ages trying to decide how to vote, which has been really difficult.
