uhoh - birthday cake and ice cream

Gotta stop tonight and buy DS birthday cake and ice cream for his 11th birthday which is today! Happy Birthday, kiddo

How am I going to say no to cake & ice cream? Ive thought of getting light ice cream and reg for the boys but then I know I will wolf down the 1/2 gal of light and then finish off the reg ice cream. Maybe I can get light for DS & myself and coffee for DH - hey, I think thats an idea.

Happy birthday to your son. Are you giving him a party with guests? Is that why you need to buy so much icecream and cake?

I have a suggestion. Buy individual sized cakes, one for each guest. You don't have to have a full sized cake (get the smallest one possible). Buy individual sized icecreams too, I know you can buy those. If you can't, then buy only pints and only enough to serve the guests and no left overs.

If it will just be you, your dh and your ds celebrating that makes it even easier. Get them a small container of ice cream and a couple of cupcakes. No leftovers will save you from yourself.

You have already given yourself permission to go off plan, Barb. Not a good idea. Think about it. I'll bet with your creative mind you can think of a way to provide a party for your son without "forcing" yourself to eat ice cream and cake.

If you have already allowed ice cream in your eating plan by giving up other stuff all week, it's one thing. Don't sabotage yourself, my friend. Find something sweet that won't blow your plan and <b>just say no</b> to the icecream and cake.
