Just checked our itinerary for our December trip...

Seems our connecting flight is on a partner airline with Northwest: PINNACLE AIRLINES JET SERVICE.

I'm assuming these are 2x2 rows or 1x2 rows.

I have a 5yo and a 3yo---this has me nervous.

:teeth: Sorry, I had to smile just a teeny bit! did you got to seatguru.com to check out your airlines seating configuration? If you can get two seats and your 5 yo across the aisle, hopefully you will be ok.

I have seen this on occaission during my travels, and haven't seen any disasters result...

I hope that all turns out well for you....

I was concerned over the one DVD player :rotfl: .

I can probably plop the two of them in the same section during the flight---but have her sit the opposite side for takeoff and landing.

That would be my first thought too :teeth: :teeth:

Where were you BF? You could have gotten a few extra DVD players at Walmart, and you wouldn't have this dilema now :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah, should have trampled a little old lady for an $80 portable DVD player, :rotfl2:

I think you will be fine. I agree with finding out what kind of plane you are on and check nww.com for seat arrangements or seatguru.com. If you have 1x2 or 2x2, simply have one child seated across the aisle for take off and then move them over to watch the dvd during the flight. If it is on a partner airline, the flight can't be that long. Usually those flights are only a couple of hours or less, so make due the best you can and enjoy the trip.

I was scoping out my snowglobes at Penney's. :rotfl2:

At first I was panicked at logistics (separated from my eldest baby--NO WAY!). Then I remembered....I flew for the first time solo at age 4-5 ( :earseek: )--so she'll be fine...then I was thinking...uh oh--one dvd player and hubby just bought the ear phones/jack so both could listen at the same time.

At least she is an expert passenger.

The flight is THREE hours though. I hate puddle jumpers on long flights. Going to go check seat guru now. Thanks.

I have to say I would probably put them both on one side the whole time. Once they are buckled in for takeoff, they should be fine until the seatbelt sign goes out and you are able to get the DVD player out, or whatever other time-wasters you bring along. I usually get all that stuff out and ready before takeoff and just slip it into the seatpocket for takeoff. On those little planes you will probably be able to reach them pretty well from your seat across the aisle anyway!

I've flown on Northwest partner flights PIT/MSP and they weren't that small. It think one was 3 x 2. If it's 3 hours, I can't imagine it being real small. Do you know the model of the plane?

Canada Air---that's it (or whatever the canadian plane is called).

The seats go flying two by two --boo hoo, boo hoo.
The seats go flying two by two--the oldest one wants to watch DVD too
And we fly three hours long....on a plane...lost by brain.
Dumb dumb dumb.
